King Tendulkar
What a total whinefest, dsr. Sheesh. I dunno if Hayden is gonna be punished or not, it may be unfair, but whatever- get over it instead of whining away.I dont mind pointing out stuff, but this whinage is annoying. Really. Gambhir gets punished and then hayden is let off. Does that not bother you? Link to comment
CC1981
Gambhir gets punished and then hayden is let off. Does that not bother you? Yes- but not much. Sort of like if an ant bit me. Your kinda making it a ' i got bulldozed' level whinage. Link to comment

fineleg
I gotta agree with dsr on this. ICC referees are very biased. If GG got a ban, Haydos is deserving of a ban here. Will they act? Link to comment

Desi Cartman
im just glad that it wasn't Ishant sharma instead of Zak ... Collision with Hayden could have killed I sharma :nervous: Link to comment

kablooee87
Gambhir intentionally stuck out his elbow. Hayden knew he was in danger of being run out and ran straight in his path. Mountain, mole hill, etc. Link to comment
Holysmoke
For those who want vids, its the same ball that he got run out. Watch him shoulder barge Zaheer before getting run out. If you watch the extended replays, u can see zaheers reaction too Link to comment
King
Ideally the bowler has right to stand his ground, the batsman is expected to run around him. Hayden's badge was intentional and wasn't an accident. Gambhir's was worse but technically Hayden has done pretty much what Gambhir did as well. Link to comment
bharat297
I actually have no problems with this incident. Hayden was maintaining his line in the run and if a batsman thinks he is going to be run out ... he shouldnt bother going around someone standing on the pitch. Gambhir on the other hand went out of his way to extend his elbow out, just to make contact with Watson. Thats the difference. In the end, Gambhir's stupidity could cost us this series. ssd123
The reason he got run out was because he didn't run straight through khan he ran around him. Having said that how weak is gay khan for complaining about a shirt brush I'd hate to see the weak boy khan in a full on fight with hayden he wouldn't wake up from his coma. Link to comment
bharat297
^ What is it with Hayden and fights? First he wants to box Ishant Sharma , now you're saying Zaheer Khan should fight Hayden. Geez louise ... Cricket is a sport where the skillful and smart thrive over just the strong and brutish. Hayden has survived so long because he has skill. Same with Zaheer. If people want to see Hayden in fights, maybe they should tell that meat-head to go and switch to boxing. Link to comment
Donny
At last! One or two have used their brains. All of you who have taken up deesy's ridiculous assertion - Domaink, Dooks, dinakka, Ravi, fineleg - ask yourself this question: Why would anyone slow their progress and, therefore, risk being run out to purposely make contact with a bowler ?? did u guys even watch it live? choti si baat ka bhatangad bana rahe hon... making a mountain out of a mole hill... Sums up the thread rather aptly. Link to comment
Rajiv
Hayden didn't intend to, but he felt like getting him out of the way in brute force with the god given hulk body Take that to court, and you will have a jury Link to comment
bharat297
I see more of a similarity between this case and the Gambhir-Afridi one than the Gambhir-Watson one. Link to comment

Going by his history he would rather be out while badging an opponent than run around the bowler and save his wicket. If he did run around Zaheer he possibly would have made it. Avoiding badging would have saved him perhaps. Serves him well for running into the bowler and in the process getting out. Link to comment
