Deleted ravi..u have deleted this post by saying "personal attack", but do you have the honesty to mention who attacked whom first ? It was you who called me a mindless sadist and , questioned whether I had ever held a cricket bat etc, instead of defending your article on Dravid...see below in this thread what I had posted. And look up "honesty" in the dictionary.

No dude...Srikkanth was then an active International cricketer, in his 4th-5th season...I got selected on my own performances...getting several 50s, 80s and being better than other opening batters playing at my level at that time....of course Cheeka did give me 2 cricket bats...one was a Vampire 12 ( Slazenger, used by Kapil Dev for his Tunbridge Wells 175, that he gifted to Cheeka, and another a Symonds 5 star , used by Cheeka in the World Championship of Cricket trophy in Australia in 1985....but all the runs I scored off those bats were mine.....happy ?

good for you!
Thanks for highlighting my career :giggle: You may not find my inngs in ICF's video section as in those days some classic innings like the one I played for my University, and also Kapil's 175 at Tunbridge wells were forever lost to posterity as they were not recorded.....but that bat had played some good strokes :haha:

Should this be in Jokes?
Yes Salil...absolutely. Especially as this thread was created by ravi, a spin off from his article on Dravid...which certainly deserves to be in ICF's humor hall :haha:

Anymore direct attack Hari, you are out of here. This is probably the last warning you will receive and the next time you will not be given a chance to write a leaving thread.

Do those rules apply to you as well ? Wasnt it you who started direct attack on me ? follow what you preach, or maybe is it that you are adopting a threatening posture now, because I have exposed your flawed logic on Dravid and you dont have any intelligent argument ?

You have accused me of "tirade" , "hidden agenda", "sadistic " " have you held a cricket bat"...stuff..ALL of which were unprovoked when I was just discussing or analysing the most debated cricket issue in the country now. Now, you didnt have single point to add to the debate and the first thing you posted on that thread was " oh, more of this blah blah, tirade watch out Hari, I am gonna keep you on a leash, people like you need to be., You have a bloated ego and hidden agenda and be on the watch, because I may ban you"....WOW...and all for just an article I wrote analysing India's situation as impacted by persisiting with Rahul Dravid for 1 year. Many would acknowledge that my write up is far more honest, has plenty of valid cricketing perspectives, is backed by facts and figures as well as supporting logic than your so called article on Dravid...but do you see any of that ? NO...to you its a "tirade" instantly....and when I post a valid comment on your article, you instantly respond with personal attacks and innuendoes....so who is the instigator and culprit here, ravi....clearly it is YOU.

Without mincing words I’ll tell you a lot are fed up with your name dropping and your name calling. You call the likes of Chandan that has been with us for a very long time sarcastically "First class lady of ICF", there are not many you haven't pissed off with your outrageous attacks. Something I want is you out of my threads and articles. If you can't adhere to that I'll have to take the drastic measure of moving all your comments out of my threads. Sure I started it because none liked to be the bad guy. I don’t care being one for the best of the website. There are not many that disliked Srikanth but it's only a matter of time he will be because of someone like you. Please use your contacts wisely and not mention them in every possible thread. It serves no purpose and the fancy only carries to a certain extent. A lot here come from cricket background and many know a lot of distinguished cricketers. A certain sanctity needs to be maintained about them. It is not as if you are being victimized for speaking against Rahul Dravid but once said is good enough it need not be mentioned in every possible thread and make this website a mundane one. You are here because you need attention. We’re not going to run this website and get abused by the likes of you. We put a lot of time, money and effort into this one. If we reckon this isn’t going the way we would want it to head we will do what we can to stop it from derailing. If we find you insulting we will have to do what we find necessary for the best of the website. It is not if we are discussing you only now, there has been many discussions about you and if you are still posting here that is only because I haven’t made a huge noise about you.

Anymore direct attack Hari' date=' you are out of here. This is probably the last warning you will receive and the next time you will not be given a chance to write a leaving thread.[/quote'] Let us get this straight ravi....leave others out of this...just you and me, man to man, we will fight out this point. You are the owner of this site , you say, ok, you have your rights, and you can ban me if you wish, and I wont give it a second thought. Just for pointing out the facts about Dravid, you removed me from the ICF staff forum, and cut my access off, even without the courtesy of a PM. I had been invited to that forum, and apart from that aspect of contributing to the overall interests of "your site", I had been an active contributor here in many ways , and there are hundreds of posters who would readily testify to this fact. Over the past year, I had brought in many perspectives to cricket discussions here, naturally some opinions would be liked and some not. One persistent theme of mine had been the incredibly long rope given to Dravid , which has been impacting India in ODIs and tests. If you are not comfortable with this, either argue the point sensibly or if unable to do so, just ignore it. You have NO right to accuse me of having any "hidden agenda". I am the only person here on ICF who had used his personal contacts and resources and brought ICF to the attention of people like Anil Kumble and Krish Srikkanth....I didnt find you appreciating it EVEN ONCE, forget about appreciating, you didnt even acknowledge it even once. I even initiated an effort to have a linkup program with Srikkanth's website so that ICF would get much more visibility and grow. But did I see you take any note of that ? You , as "site owner"...didnt even have the basic courtesy to call or email Krish Srikkanth to personally thank him for coming on to ICF...but wait...courtesy doesnt exist in your book , does it ? as doesn't gratitude. But your appreciation is NOT the reason I did all that. For any cricket follower or fan, on a cricket site, its an invaluable resource to have a direct line to the Indian captain, a former captain or the Chief selector. There would be 100s of posters here who would acknowledge it, and I can tell you I know so many people who are keenly interested in these perspectives. I did it for these fans....not just for "YOUR site". Without posters , and users your site is ZERO, zilch and you know it. Why...you accuse me of "namedropping "..how laughable ! It is not name dropping, but I genuinely am acquainted pretty well with at least 5 former/present Indian cricket captains. You claim to know the Jadejas, Bhajjis, GRVs and everyone else in Bangalore...and I believe you, you probably do. But you could have brought some of them here to chat with ICF members ? Apart from Javagal Srinath, who had you brought here ? Afterall it is your site. I too know Vishy very well....ask him, ask Brijesh bhai... I have known almost all the Bangalore FC cricketers very well in that period, like VijayaKrishna, Jayaprakash, Jeshwant, Chandra, Kirry et al.... Heck, I never come away from Bangalore without a beer with Roger Binny....and guess what my close friend Krish Srikkanth is far far better known and closer to ALL the cricketers that you say you know. And when he did come here, purely because of my request , did you so much as thank him ? I can only guess that you feel threatened because of me. Previously you were the "man who knew everyone in cricket", but since last year when I came here, you at once saw that this space is being "hijacked" by me, in your view...How sad..wonder why you should have looked at it this way. Too ridiculous really. Last year when I had spoken to TA Sekar, the MRF pace foundation head coach for an ICF interview , as he is related to me, Sekar agreed and asked the "website's owner" to call him( it would have been a great interview considering the number of fast bowlers MRF has produced and the interest in ICF on Indian fast bowling). I was repeatedly posting here about this and many other interviews on ICF too, but not even ONCE did you even lift a little finger to do anything, presumably because it was coming through me, and your false pride was hurt. Its too immature an attitude ravi, and you know it. Apart from all this, my other interest in contributing to this cricket site, was simply as a cricket fan who has been following cricket longest in this forum, 35 years of cricket watching, and I always wanted to share my experiences as a fan, a spectator, games from the past, names form the past that are just names to many, but I had seen these players , spoken to them, taken their autographs etc, I had been writing about anecdotes, stories etc about everything from the vaseline controversy of John Lever to the World cup 1983 win, through the inside incidents behind match fixing scandals and so many other stories I had personally witnessed over the years. From way back into last generation when you may not have been born...as wouldnt have been most ICF folks . And you couldnt digest it all ? And just because of the fact I am extremely critical of Rahul Dravid, you cannot deal with facts, you jump in with all your pent up frustrations and personal dislike of me, to start issues like " watch yourself....you are bloated with ego, you have a hidden agenda, have you held a cricket bat..you are a sadist" etc...now if THIS isnt a tirade, what is ? Can you genuinely and honestly say that I have only been posting vitriol on Dravid and can you say my cricket posting is devoid of knowledge ? Do you know how much cricket I have played or how well I used to play ? Is it relevant, first of all ? And also, do I need to be a FC cricketer to be able to post common sense views on cricket ? So, what are your credentials to cast personal aspersions on me, my credibility, and my motives ? No ravi...you have NO answers. But its time you asked yourself some honest questions.

Hari, No offence, I don't think anyone really cares about how many cricketers you know. You know a few, fine, we get it. No need to repeat this ad nauseum. The issue here is how you have treated some people - namely, cricketics and Chandan. Both have been here for ages, and have done a lot for our site. I can appreciate what you have done for us, but you are treating some of our most valued members like crap. Not a very smart thing to do. That's what he was referring to with the "name-dropping" comment. You need to be a little more courteous man. Not everybody thinks the sun shines out of Cheeka's @ss like you do, and when they express their feelings, you shouldn't be taking it personally. You also shouldn't be insulting Indian cricketers. You have called Dravid all kinds of stuff on here before, and that's inexcusable. Naturally, the more you do it, the more likely you are to p iss off some people.

Not everyone thinks that Dravid is gonna save India's @rse...his own is on fire...and what you say to me about Ticz, you probably have to say to him too...because he is the one who single mindedly derides me, Srikkanth and everyone else he hates...maybe you should start thinking of how others can get p1ssd off too, rules work 2 ways...and btw...if calling Chandan First class lady is offensive...I can point out infinitely more offensive terms used at me for no reasons at all...u ever interjected ?

What is very clear here is that many folks cant digest the fact that I have been posting hard hitting truths about Dravid for last one year....and most unfortunately for those Dravid apologists, Dravid has been failing again and again, which makes them frustrated..and to add misery to frustration, of all damn things Srikkanth is now the Chief Selector and he is probably kick Dravid out of the team very soon...altogether the perfect recipe for anyone to throw a nuclear bomb at me , I know it hurts....deal with it. Wait for the Dravid Dropped thread....and I shall give a threadbare analysis of how his downfall was due to ignoring the golden rule of Jack Hobbs..."when in doubt, play back"...Dravid had been in doubt for better part of last year, and most of his dismissals have come about because he ignored this golden rule....but thats for the Dravid dropped thread...lets leave it for now.
