DomainK Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 My Vaio sucks in sound. The volume is so low that you practically cant hear anything from a dvd. Is there any software to amplify sound? Let me confess that I have a special liking for freeware.
Desi Cartman Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 VLC media player is good. It can play volume as high as 200%. Logic wali baat nahi hai but it sounds louder
Cricketics Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Haha domaink.. same problem here in VAIO.. thas perhapz the only thing i hate about VAIO... the sound system sucks.. as desi down under told you above, vlc is the best option...
Holysmoke Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 vlc is probably the best media player out there...
DomainK Posted November 9, 2008 Author Posted November 9, 2008 Thanks guys. I have used vlc before. It plays almost every kind of media file. I will download it to my laptop now. Guess its a freeware.

Guess its a freeware. another good point i like about vlc is that if you rite click on any video file and open it on Windows media player, then it won't open as fast as it will open in VLC. i mean VLC player opens in flash.. windows media player takes a while in that regard

THX_1138 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 sound is not amplified by a software... it is amplified by a system of bi junctional transistors operating in amplifier more... so if you want to pump up the volume, attach speakers with an external power source. if the speakers dont have an external power source, you wont be able to pump up the volume. simple physics... you can only get so much juice out of a fixed amount of current. unless the current is increased, the volume will not exceed a certain threshold.
