Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form

considering how he plays he cannot be a successful cricketer
Please explain this statement For all the hype and hoopla Hussey does have talent, Wat part of his play do u think cannot make him a successful cricketer?

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form Mr Cricket meets Mr Reality. He has not played in all conditions to be annoited Mr Cricket. He is good but nowhere near the "great" tag bestowed upon him.

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form Everyone goes through their best form of life and Hussey had it early on. Including Hussey not many would bank on him carrying on good form for years.

considering the shots he played. Most were on the basis of power rather than on sheer timing. His Hayden like body made him suitable to hit anything with power rather than with timing

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form I always knew Hussey would come down.... Look at him.... nothing tells me, he is a great batter...... no real power(KP, Dhoni/Richards style), no elegance, no technique...... jus come in at the slog, touch the ball and keep running, end up not out, boost ur average.... maybe a 6 or 4 here or there.... I think, while the rest of the team go for net practice, Buchanan would ask hussey to go for his running practice.....

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form lol i like that "hussey ab phasi" yeah i was thinking the same thing but i did not want to get too ahead of myself. i feel a better judgment could be made after the south africa game. if his slump continues through this cup, we might see him competing with cosgrove for a place in the side. never the less, the guy is a pure class and i really hate that he is not in our team!

you guys are not considering one thing though. this guy has made more runs than God at the domestic level in australia which is no walk in the park stuff. he has the mental agility and toughness to withstand a slight slump, which happens to be another advantage of his experience at the domestic level and his age. i hate the bastard for he is not in our side, but i do fear him too, and yeah i would be delighted if he keeps failing, though i doubt i will be seeing that for too long. but talking about hype: michael clarke, phil jacques, shaun tait and quite possibly stuart clark.

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form i dont know wat u r talking...... he has played 200 matches for his 16000 runs at a normal average of 54..... nothing great abt it.... i say, make him open or number 3.... u will see him average 32 in ODIs and 40 in tests.... take this from me.....

He does open in FC cricket.
thts y he averages a normal 54 and not something demonic as in the international arena..... thts also y, he was not picked until he was close to having grand-kids....

Re: Michael Hussey a dip in Form >>i say, make him open or number 3.... u will see him average 32 in ODIs and 40 in tests.... take this from me..... thats no argument. You can say the same about any batsman played out of his position- heck definitely any mid order batsmen made opener...
