I genuinely feel sorry for Peterson. He's been given a house of cards as a team and all the media scrutiny and expectation in the world. He has no power hitters in his side apart from Flintoff who's hit and miss, Bopara who's playing down the order, no real spin options because Monty's not in the squad for the ODIs, a makeshift top three that aren't a real ODI top order and a batting order that's prone to collapse at the merest hint of a suggestion. He not only has to save England time and time again with his batting, but then come up with a list of excuses for his poor team mates! No wonder captaincy affects your batting!!

I don't feel sorry for him. India were in trouble at 29-3, he should have carried on attacking, he let the game slip, partly it was GG and YS batting pretty well, but KP messed up a bit. Also he's not willing to make changes to the team. He has players available who are better than Prior and Bell, he doesn't want to move Bopara up the order either
