Thats exactly why these rankings are useless in conveying the true form of team or a player.Jump up in joy and celebrate when our boys are on top and forget it the moment they slips the ladder!

well I think what it really conveys is the gulf between the decent teams vs the best (Aussies) at least historically speaking. Hopefully, you will see them come closer to the pack and some separation between India, SA, Pak, SL and the others

What is there to celebrate ? This is not the first time India has reached #3 spot. We have to be consistent in order to climb the rankings or atleast hold on to the current spot. Lack of consistency has retracted India's stand in the rankings.
