Lord
cant understand how these rankings work.first eng rose from no.7 to 3 in matter of 4 odis against sa.and now in matter of two odis they are slipped from 3 at 6 Link to comment
sm332
the rankings between 2-7 are very closely spaced out and consequently each set of 2-3 games has a significant impact Link to comment

sm332
well I think what it really conveys is the gulf between the decent teams vs the best (Aussies) at least historically speaking. Hopefully, you will see them come closer to the pack and some separation between India, SA, Pak, SL and the others Link to comment
sm332
by the way ... i did some scenario analysis using ICC's nifty predictor tool. We only go to 2 if we win 7-0/ Link to comment

Guest Hiten.
What is there to celebrate ? This is not the first time India has reached #3 spot. We have to be consistent in order to climb the rankings or atleast hold on to the current spot. Lack of consistency has retracted India's stand in the rankings. Link to comment
