SRT curbed the cover drive to score 200+ in Sydney...in Chennai Test will... he and the rest of the players (prone to driving), curb the drive shot in chennai? Driving on this pitch will get some runs, but sooner or later they will perish given the pitch conditions are not conducive to such a shot currently. Will our batsmen curb the expansive shots, and play dourly and watchfully with a lot of concentration to secure a draw? Will they fight it out? or how many will perish to expansive shots (drive or otherwise)?

Your post seems like its advertising a movie we all don't want to watch. But its ok. I've come to expect pessimism in every post - but I hope they fight it out.
yes, it wont be a masala movie like One Day Intl or T20. But a dour and well fought out draw is what we need here - more like art films. Application of the players is what will be needed here. Not flamboyance.

I agree with it. Its just I think we could do with a bit more positive attitude. Never always hope for the worst so that anything between will cheer us up. I always think that we'll win - if we lose - thats ok too. Its a game. One has to win and other has to lose (well we'd win if we drew too). I think you ought to have a better outlook at life and cricket - hope for the best. It doesn't have to be outrageous like saying both Gambhir and Sehwag will score double hundreds and win the test match for us but it could be that we'll fight it out like we did twice against Australia in the previous series where Sachin and Laxman occupied the crease for the long times and made sure we drew on the last day of the test match. I'm scared for someone like you in life - go outside and keep saying pessimistic things like 'some car is going to come and hit me and i'll die.' (I seriously hope thats not how you are).
