jf1gp_1 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 If you are an optimist and expect some good to come out of this tragedy then this thread is not for you. I dont expect anything to happen. Some Commity would be formed to find how to tackle such situation in future, some guys would run around to hang on to their jobs, media will shout for a few days, afzal guru case would again come up but nothing will happen, 6months down the lane another such incident will happen cycle would be complete.
suraj Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I don't know abt optimism or pessismism but I haven't gone to bed till dawn for 4 nights in a row now just so shocked, angry and sad- can't make sense of this inhumanity to have peace
fineleg Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I don't know abt optimism or pessismism but I haven't gone to bed till dawn for 4 nights in a row now just so shocked, angry and sad- can't make sense of this inhumanity to have peace same here. the full 4 nights, i havent gone to sleep till very late, and very disturbed. each of us here in ICF may differ in some viewpoint or the other, but the pain and disturbance that is felt by many of us are exactly the same pain.
graphic23 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It is pathetic if our alternative choice is the guy who went to Pakistan and claimed Jinnah is a secularist person.
seedhi Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It is pathetic if our alternative choice is the guy who went to Pakistan and claimed Jinnah is a secularist person. That certain guy has been talking of strong anti-terror laws for ages. Now, after hundreds of people have died in multiple terror attacks is the government listening to him. I for one cannot countenance another 5 years of an impotent prime minister who has to run to an extra constitutional authority (Sonia G) for every other decision. We need a government that listens to security experts rather than idiots like A.Roy and B.Karat in taking strong steps. If anything, consider the BJP as a lesser evil, but necessary to set things right. It is time to realize the Sonia Gandhi is the Sarah Palin of India, except that she does not reveal her ignorance so easily.
punjabi_khota Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 It is pathetic if our alternative choice is the guy who went to Pakistan and claimed Jinnah is a secularist person. You have to get the government which you believe has MORE chance of changing the country's security situation. Their motivations maybe different, their methods not very PC, but BJP will be better in that regard.
jf1gp_1 Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 Its been over a week now and yet to read one meaningful statement from our Govt. Yup we have gone back to sleep.

fineleg Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 boss bhai, Spend some time, keep posting in the cricket forum or chit chat or politics. Why press on the religious issue!? when its clear its a legal hassle for those operating this.
fineleg Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 No one is saying u shud talk kirket or even only kirket. People are saying leave the "religious bashing" out of it. Why go on bashing a religion? Separate it from terrorism which has no kindness, no religion and only hatred. PS: And if folks are having a legal hassle becos of it, its no joking matter like "trying to sell Taj Mahal" jokes!
fineleg Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 we like u boss bhai and most of ur posts, just that some extremist statements that some of you make can be avoided (for sake of peace and respect for differing religious practices).* *religious practices != srt worshipping :D
