I'd say wait. Its eMachines, which is not really very good - even for that price. Previously, I had seen HP laptops during this season at a similar price. But if its only for side use and nothing mainstream (and you're filthy rich), its a reasonable investment.

minis are good for checking ur mail and surfing the web .. thats pretty much all..... the processor the really weak bole to "pointy elbows"

my god is it that bad, i have 14 days to return..but again, its side laptop .. dell doesn't have anything for that price and remember guys this is canadian dollars, i USD is now 1.22 this was cheapest ps my pain pc has xp and this has vista..how do I setup file sharing and that stuff

Dell laptops?? man Dell desktops are good, but laptop???i would never recommend anyone.

While lenovo are supposed to be better, dell is far better than HP ASUS gateway and emachines in terms of quality. (from my experience)

it has lot of basic stuff missing. like hdmi, s-video outputs and stuff. not many ports to work with, apart from the ethernet one and offcourse the charger one. no sd card reader... well atleast thats understandable, cauz 400 dollar mein yeh thodi hoga. but still. not a bad buy i must say btw, do keep an eye on Acer laptops too. i heard they are carrying some good deals these dayz

yes, they are bit costly then the others, but they are worth it. one of the better going laptops. but they have decreased their ratez i guess. before they used to be much much more expensive then what they are now. believe it or not, i bought mac laptop just for editing videos and stuff using their professional software called final cut or something.. and i ended up giving that laptop to my cuzon who is in film academy and he needed to use all these softwares for editing and stuff... it was good until it was with me

what is draft n and how is 802.11g/a/b/n different from 802.11g/a/b/draft n? curious because i had installed an 802.11n gigabit router in 2006 when the technology was first launched, and yet have not acquired my first bloody 802.11n NIC...
