The Outsider Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Yeh kahan se aaya bhai ? Inki marzi se..... India was 40% Muslim in 1946.....two thirds of whom are in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Regarding the 1946 elections, there were 1585 seats and the Congress won 923 and Muslim League won 425 out of the 496 seats reserved for Muslims(Muslim majority areas most of which are anyways part of Pakistan and Bangladesh now). Even if we say 90% of the Muslims in these 425 seats voted for the Muslim League, it does not in any way show that the 33% of the Muslims who chose to stay back in India voted for the Muslim League because these seats are not a part of India today anyways. And anyhow, it's all nothing but irrelevant crap because hardly more than a few thousand who voted in 1946 would even be alive today.
