it goes beyond that, Chinese people frankly have no clue what their Govt is doing for Pakistan Militarily, Chinese public doen't have ill-feeling towards India, heck ask them the president of Pakistan ( they might ask what is that ) Pakistan govt and its people hate India with passion so there is a huge GAP in the analogy
you have no sense at all before you make all these smart fact based observations you should consider Unrelated issue 1- US is the real criminal Unrelated issue 2- China is the real criminal Unrelated issue 3- Indian Muslims are suffering so bad Unrelated issue 4- focus should be on eliminating right wing Hindu extremists they are the real criminals Unrelated issue 5- we should all be talking about the great Indian kirket team, they are the real heroes- **** commandos, **** patriots and **** talking against our friendly neighbours we should all be positive and optimistic and wear cheerleader uniforms ............ ..... ........ Unrelated 1 billionth issue- if you were truly secular you should have named the website after something Islamic, now you have been proven a hypocrite so shut up Q.E.D. Meanwhile lets celebrate Id and wait for another attack to see our people die

Bumps, pardon me if I came across as condescending or personal here, especially when we're talking about individual's morality here. Am just trying to address the overall issue from a holistic point of view, that is all.

This is where the double standards arise, as far as I am concerned. According to your logic, you wont support the killer (Pakistan), if the person being killed is Indian, while it isnt incumbent upon you to do the same, if the killer (US) is killing non-Indians? (Iraqis, Afghanistan, Palestinians). What kind of twisted morality is that? Obviously, your decision to boycott Pakistani goods is a moral one, something you do to answer the call of your conscience. Then, why the inconsistency? I dont have a problem with people taking a moral stand on issues, as long they're 100% consistent across the board. Of course, you can always say charity begins at home and I would like address Indian concerns first, but that argument isnt valid here, especially since its individual morality that is in question. Bear in mind, I havent even gone to the aspect of US support to the VERY same Pakistani jehadi groups in the past, when they turned a blind-eye to all Islamic extremism. Its only when 9/11 happened that they changed the tune. So, does that mean we absolve US of all blame from past deeds? Well, thats just an hypothetical scenario. Your explanation of China 'supporting an enemy's enemy' still doesnt account for the fact that why you, as an individual, arent applying the same set of moral standards, when it comes to Chinese. After all, isnt China also covertly responsible for empowering Pakistan, militarily and econmically, which in turn helps them to strike at us? Bear in mind, I aint saying 'Dont boycott Pakistani goods'. By all means do, everyone is entitled to have their moral standpoint. But be consistent in your application of those stands, or else, your claims to moral highground will sound a bit hollow.
Why do you live in US if you hate it so much and think that in every way US is worse than Pakistan Dude when a terrorist comes with a gun pointing at your family you don't start evaluating a million other people who are wrong in the world and you should first go and find each one of them to punish them Instead you kill the terrorist who is going to kill your family. I am glad that it is not people like MM who are leading us in Kargil or fighting as commandoes in Mumbai because otherwise we will be debating for decades about what moral right we have to defend ourselves against an obvious enemy since there is so much other evil in the world. Pakistan would have been ruling India by now if we let such "debators" run India.

No you are doing more than that you are being the Suzanne Roy of the DG- standing distant from the actual suffering and making meaningless analogies to appear intellectual. Easy to debate about holistic view when someone's eyes are not staring down the barrel of a terrorist's gun but the practical aspect is that you pick your battles & priorities and confront the enemy that is really going to harm you rather than fix all the historical wrongdoings in the world. Pakistan and the fanatic idelogy in Pakistan & Islamic ideology is India's enemy and it is not high moral ground rather the logical approach to confront this enemy in every way- it is the duty of every true Indian patriot.

Well, I cant understand it either if you dont get my original point, which btw has got nothing to do about boycotting Pakistani goods or anything. Its about people's morality and whether it is being applied consistently across the board or not. Of course, you wont get that, not my fault.

You are confusing morality with being selfish. Its ok to be selfish and still be morally righteous. There is no double standards here. If you argue like that, every protest has some double standards. For example, you could argue that Gandhiji is a hypocrite for fasting for our freedom, while not doing anything about the civil rights issue of Blacks in America or South Africa. Does that make Gandhi a hypocrite ?

If you want to be morally consistent the way you describe it, you need to fight for every single injustice in this world. Now tell me which individual is capable of fighting issues of such mamoth scope ?

As i said you are confusing being selfish with hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is being inconsistent with your principles with in the SAME scope of the issues you are fighting. You could choose to fight some but not all issues. That does not make you a hypocrite.

As i said, if there was no Pakistan, China wouldnt even figure in the discussion, Hence the justification for the boycott.
Bear in mind, I aint saying 'Dont boycott Pakistani goods'. By all means do, everyone is entitled to have their moral standpoint. But be consistent in your application of those stands, or else, your claims to moral highground will sound a bit hollow.
Read above. Its possible to be consistent by just focussing on the most important issue at hand.

I dont take any of these things personally. You are perfectly entitled to your opinion. We dont have to agree to respect each other. Take it easy!

Normally I avoid reading your hyper PC pearls of wisdom but this one shows some dangerous signs of "sympathizing" character in Abu Azmi mode and hence needs to be shown the right place. Can you tell me --- How you and your gang of PCs manage to justify equating government of United States anti-terror operations with terror acts of killings carried out by Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Al Qaeda, Taliban? Btw... FYI, This is exactly the line of thinking exploited by Hamas and LeT/AQ for recruiting Jeehadis when they shout during Jumma prayer that evil Zionist/USA governments are State terrorists and hence your Jeehad is justified.

Good point, but my answer would be ‘Gandhi fought for the freedom of all Indians, not just certain sections of Indians’. I don’t expect you to boycott Israeli goods because they’re attacking Palestinians. Obviously, you cant fight everyone’s war, but my point is ‘If you think of boycotting Pakistani goods because Pakistan is supporting terrorism in India, why are you not boycotting Chinese goods too? After all, don’t the Chinese support the Pakistanis?’. I respect your rage at a nation that harms Indians, but why is that rage restricted to one country alone?
If you want to be morally consistent the way you describe it' date=' you need to fight for every single injustice in this world. Now tell me which individual is capable of fighting issues of such mamoth scope ? [/quote'] No one can and I don’t expect them to. Heck, for all my chest-thumping, I myself don’t do anything about it. which is why, right at the beginning of my responses, I pointed out how we all say we will boycott Pakistani goods coz we can afford to do so and yet get away with it. I am merely interested in the moral inconsistencies of those people who say they will boycott so and so nations.
As i said you are confusing being selfish with hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is being inconsistent with your principles with in the SAME scope of the issues you are fighting. You could choose to fight some but not all issues. That does not make you a hypocrite.
Well, if we can define the fight here ‘Anger at nations who support anti-India activities and hence the boycott of their goods’, then isn’t it hypocritical to boycott Pakistani goods and not Chinese goods?
