Guest Hiten. Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Due to stress fracture (back). Aussies are ***ed left, right and center :haha:
The Outsider Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Australia should consider playing Ashley Noffke as their allrounder. His batting isn't all that great but is a much better bowler than Symonds and Watson put together. If Australia need to strengthen some department, its their bowling.
Guest Hiten. Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 6 months! Thats a bloody long time.... lawl.. sorry. Its 6 weeks. Guess I got too excited :D
triam Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Jeez, this guy spends more time on the physical trainers bed than his own, reason enough for his wife to file for divorce. On a serious note, I do feel for him, talented bloke and comes across as pretty decent guy when compared with simmo and he is screwed by the selectors too, deserved to be in the team ahead of simmo.
cowboysfan Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 terrible news for the aussies-they are the busiest team in 2009 playing non stop cricket with one month break thrown in.
Ram Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 lawl.. sorry. Its 6 weeks. Guess I got too excited :D :D
Desi Cartman Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 it is 6 months not 6 weeks .. he wont be able to bowl for longer than 6 months actually .. he can only start batting after 6 months . Source : abc radio , was listening to it on the way to work
The Outsider Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Just heard on commentary - it is 6 months. Lee to be out for 6 weeks.
Ram Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Six months !?.. Many players' international careers dont last that long!
Desi Cartman Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I think IPL is having an impact .. Lee , watson , Sreesanth ,( akhtar & asif :D ). Playing so many games in just a month will put stress on the bodies so Im not really surprised that more bowlers are now getting these stress fractures
cowboysfan Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I think IPL is having an impact .. Lee ' date=' watson , Sreesanth ,( akhtar & asif :D ). Playing so many games in just a month will put stress on the bodies so Im not really surprised that more bowlers are now getting these stress fractures[/quote'] barely bowling 4 overs a match is not going hurt much-bowling 158 overs more than steyn this year might.
kumble_rocks Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 What's so breaking about this news anyways .. This guy has a brittle body , the bigger question I have is who is a bigger wuss , Shane Watson or Simon Jones ... Both unfit to be international cricketers imho.
Desi Cartman Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 What's so breaking about this news anyways .. This guy has a brittle body ' date=' the bigger question I have is who is a bigger wuss ,[b'] Shane Watson or Simon Jones ... Both unfit to be international cricketers imho. harmison :hmmmm2:
Fontaine Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 tough break. Not great when two good cricketers go down with injury. Hope they recover well.
swami1984 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Well there goes the Royals' hope for winning a second IPL trophy. No matter how brittle he was, his all-round performance was key.
suraj Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Well there goes the Royals' hope for winning a second IPL trophy. No matter how brittle he was' date=' his all-round performance was key.[/quote'] Yeah Watson has performed well BIG LOSS
diegovegaz Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 after lee's injury concerns, this is a deep setback to the australian side now, they will have to rope in a rookie, like a doug bollinger or ben hilfenaus i wonder why haven't they tried nathan bracken for tests yet???
Dravid Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 gwad canadian, atleast get the info right before posting he should give it up..
