punjabi_khota
Hold on, aren't these 2 numbers going to be useless since depending upon the ground the match is played on, some players will be playing on home, and some away in each team! So, each team will have to calculate 9 scores, one in each country. Not 2! Link to comment
Gambit
Even if that were to happen, posting the numbers in the above format will still help you calculate easily. Link to comment
punjabi_khota
Someone (maybe me?) can write a quick program to spit out 9 ratios, given as input 22+10 inputs (11 batting averages home and away, 5 bowling averages, home and away). Matlab to the rescue. Link to comment
SachDan
One more hassle..wat about the test match going on between WI and Poms..will that be considered ?? Link to comment

bunny
If everyone posts in the format used by Gambit, writing the formula in excel would be trivial. Link to comment

bunny
Btw I don't think either Gambit or me used any filters (i.e., we didn't exclude Bang and Zim as opposition and also we didn't cap...although I'd suggest that we have an avg bowling cap of 35 if the bowler hasn't taken 10 wickets and a batting cap of 20 if he hasn't scored 200 runs) Link to comment

Majority voted for that. I don't need to cap. My 5th bowler averages 31 and has taken more than 100 wickets. Link to comment

Yes, I know that, but the home average will be counted for the player in the team from the country the match is being played in, so we do need 9 ratios. Link to comment

Randomly select two teams for a face-off and then randomly, select one as the home team and the other one as the away one. Link to comment
