Sachin_Rulez Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Just rent a car. It would be very convenient. I don't know why you don't want to do that. As far as places are concerned, I enjoyed only six flags there...nothing great in there!!!
THX_1138 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 you are doing it wrong. It is confirmed. The abomination that is Finey is actually female. i like girly men. and manly girls...
THX_1138 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 I concur with that. Did not enjoy it at all. In Houston here are my favorite time-spends, in no particular order. a) Galveston beach. b) Catch movie at Cinema 6 c) Dinner at Mayuri. d) Downtown area around Chase Tower. e) Hillcroft Avenue/Rd/area. Houston is quite a fun place actually. that place is run down... is mayuri off fountain view and westheimer? i think i ve been there once, though not exactly houston's finest. galveston beach is fat fest... and fish fest... stinks like heck...
THX_1138 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 :finger: fine then... youre invited too... i am vegan but i like chicken...
Texy Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 w/o car in houston is just like without snow mobile in antartica...... it's the 4th largest city in the country and you definitely need a car or some sorta transportation other than bus.
cybervickey Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 that place is run down... is mayuri off fountain view and westheimer? i think i ve been there once, though not exactly houston's finest. galveston beach is fat fest... and fish fest... stinks like heck... hill croft is awesome where else can u get so much desi food with so much variety in houston? and Galveston beach aint that bad either ofcourse it cant hold a candle to them white sand florida beaches but still pretty good! for hangout spots try cafe layal of ranosh !
Macj Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Seems like Houston is a very unfriendly city if you dont rent a car, when you visit...is it? Is there any Bus or Shuttle to visit NASA Johnson Space center? (starting from in or around downtown Houston)...this will be a Sunday - so that probably makes it harder to find general transportation? Strongly suggest you rent a car not only in Houston , but anywhere in Texas. Public transport is the pits. Johnson Space Center is so so, didnt enjoy it much, just a tick mark on the checklist, we spent most of our time in Galveston.
