Can Test squad be revised? ODI squad too?

wtf is Y.Pathan doing in the side he is supposed to be in as a big hitter.n a batsmen.n yet wen we have scored 392,yusuf has played only 2 balls.he is a part timer with the ball n new zealand conditions dont help spinners.he didnt bowl until munaf bowled two beamers.so it begs the question wht is his role in the side exactly? i love Yusuf but i feel hes been wasted.either dhoni gotta use him better or play irfan, with the pitch helping fast bowlers,he will be able to bowl some more overs n also be reliable with the bat. also i hope we hear the last of munaf for sometime.he iis highly overrated.cant believe he is compared with Mcgrath.his attitude sucks really.cant bat, field n isnt a bowler who will take two three wickets quickly.at best he is a line n length bowler,u expect these kinda bowlers to bowl economically even wen it is flat deck.munaf didnt do that. hope we kick him out n replace him for tests somehow.

He's a good hitter from what I've seen in T20s' date=' give him some time[/quote'] I'M NOT DEMANDING HIS EXCLUSION,i just want him to be used well if he is selected n his role to be defined.if his role is to hit big shots, today was a perfect opportunity t use him,but Dhoni didnt promote him.u cant have a specialist batsman play 10-20 balls on verage every innings n not bowl 10 overs.if he is a batsman, let him be used as a batsman,as a floater

To be frank, this guy apart from the lusty hitting @ the end, has yet to play a proper innings in ODis He has come few time before the 35th over and guess what he does, go for a hoike first/second ball and gets out. He is a gifted talent but he is wasting it He has to show the captain the confidence of playing proper innings and show he can be dependable @ top order

thats exactly wat i mean,if he is a proper batsman which he is,he should be used like that n judged like that.we cant have a speicalist batsman just for lusty hitting.

He came before 35th over on few occasions...what he did was to squander those chances by instantly going for a slog. On the 2nd T20 match, he just came in, hit 3 sixes and what made him to go for the 4th in that over...he is either overconfident or irresponsible in such situations Dont quote me wrong here, he is great talent, awesome hitter, but can do well to use his brain a bit more...not everyday you are going to hoike and get away with it

exactly i fully agree with u ,n he should be judged only as a pure batsman .if he is making 20-25 only watever his strike rate, its not much use on that instance u mention,i think he was going for six 6's.it looks great wen it comes off n stupid wen doesnt. also i think he is used as a big hitter only.his defined role is to hit.the couple of times he has come in 35 overs were batting powerplays, his job is to slog n hes doing exactly that.its the role given to him that is faulty

Let Munaf remain in the squad as a passenger as a memento to the monumental folly of selectors. Choosing a brainless' date=' unskilled labourer as a Test bowler ahead of a prodigy, albeit mercurial, such as Sreesanth, quite clearly shows that while one half of the chairman of selector's brain is actively championing his unworthy statemates, the other half has taken leave of all sense.[/quote'] what a stupid comment... Selectors did pick a decent team..apart from the Rohit one agreed Munaf had a bad day, but his attitude is the problem...disco is no better, and he has had way too many bad days than this Sreesanth has yet to prove for his comeback into the team..and with his past performance and attitude problems, he wont get a easy entry into this Indian side Patel might go through the same route i guess

well i agree, maybe that was his defined role...but nobody is stopping him from getting set in a bit, take few singles and then hit Even the best players need some time @ the grease before start hitting. Even gr8 Sachin needed that time and for heavens sake, dont quote afretard :haha:

NO I AGREE WITH ,but hes gotta be told to play like other batsman n be sent inn middle overs wen there not a powerplay.then wen he gets set his natural instincts will take over n he'll attack anyway but wen hes sent in **,he is confused as wat to do.he doesnt wanna waste balls in powerplays, there is not gonna be singles,so wat does he do,he chose the riskier approach n gets out invariably. today was a perfect eample.Yuvraj took time settling in n then took the powerplay n it worked
