I heard they use Sesame oil for chinese dishes not so sure though .But we don't use that oil much .Better option are Veg/canola oil.

Canola or sunflower is the best option peanut oil has waaaayyyyy too much cholestrol!:eyedance:

With all due respect, that is incorrect. Peanut oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, which actually decrease cholesterol and are good for cardiovascular health. Check this out: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0813/is_n1_v15/ai_6482491/ In fact, no plant oils have cholesterol (plants cannot make cholesterol). What you are referring to is that some plant oils like palm and coconut oil are high in saturated fats, which in turn enhances cholesterol deposits in blood vessels. Sesame oil is used widely in Chinese cooking, but I am not sure if they use it much for stir-frying. I think it is mostly for dressing, but I may be wrong.

aaahhh learn something new everyday!! thanks for that!! so basically what your saying is that unless people get off they're ass's to burn off saturated fats then yes it will turn into cholesterol?? no seriously i'm kidding thats handy to know!! :icflove:

Aroma of China (think its owned by the same franchise as Mainland China). Slightly pricy, but the food is phenomenal :--D
