Guest gaurav_indian Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Ajmal Kasab reading Gandhi's autobiography in jail Mumbai: Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured in the Mumbai terror attacks last year, is reading Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography 'My Experiments with Truth' for the past one week. Kasab is reading the Urdu version of the autobiography. The 500-page book is often given to inmates as part of jail reforms and recreational programmes. The book is available in the jail library in several languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, English, Kannada, and Urdu. Kasab is the only terrorist captured alive by police during the operation while nine other terrorists involved in the terror attack at Taj, Oberoi-Trident Hotels and Nariman House besides Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Cama Hospital were killed. http://news.in.msn.com/national/article.aspx?cp-documentid=2169252 :nervous::nervous: New politician in the making?
THX_1138 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 well its a departure from the usual literature. but to be honest, if we can reform this guy, after all the indoctrination he has suffered, and all his violent actions... it would be a significant victory for our judicial process.
Dirty_South Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 No big deal,Gandhi was even a bigger CRIMINAL than this shytehead Kasab. Seriously why doesnt our god damn Govt put a fu9king gun on this Kasab's head and blow it off? That wud send some msg to other terrorists. Instead this SOB is reading Gandhi's Autobiography...wah !

suraj Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Well maybe Kasab will now want to offer the other cheek when slapped on one Lots of slaps coming your way Kasab!!
THX_1138 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 A tad too late?!? never too late to reform. most of the terrorists are indoctrinated from a very young age. how many of us have grown up to question the validity of our beliefs and morals? how many of us can recognize the errors and misjudgments of our beloveds? and how many of us can claim to any of the above while in an environment where the delusional message is repeated ad nauseum?

EnterTheVoid Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 ^^ Can you help us out here? I am having a little difficulty following your train of thought. What are you insinuating? What is the link between Kasab rotting in a jail and Ghandiji ?
Dirty_South Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Gandhiji ? hahaha....call him Gandhi :) There may be no link between Kasab and Gandhi...but I'm just asking u guyz a simple QUESTION....
Dirty_South Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 If u guyz think m goin OT,then move the posts to the Politics section
Ram Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 As my question was deleted,I'll ask it again..... How long wud it have taken for the British to kill M K Gandhi ? Why was he not killed? Very simple answer.. The British did not kill Gandhi for the same reason the whites did not kill Mandela, the Chinese have not killed the Dalai Lama or the Burmese Army have not killed Aung-Sun—Suu-Kyi.. When you assassinate the leader of a popular mass movement, it will help mobilize public opinion more than ever before and help rally all supporters behind a united cause. If the British had killed Gandhi, it would have inflamed the then largely peaceful national movement into a violent, vengeful and the British exit from India would have happened years before 1947.

The British exit from India would have certainly happened either way , Britain was bankrupt after WW2, was in serious debt to the United States. The US saw itself as the beacon of anti-colonialism and pressured Britain to release all her colonies. We the docile fools would have allowed them to continue to rule over us till eternity. Remember at any point in time there were not more than 10,000 Englishmen serving in India, they effectively ruled 250million people.

punjabi_khota Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 well its a departure from the usual literature. but to be honest, if we can reform this guy, after all the indoctrination he has suffered, and all his violent actions... it would be a significant victory for our judicial process. I hope he gets reformed but I also hope his reformed self is never tested in society anytime soon..let him reform for next 30 years in jail.
Macj Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Sorry but this is horse pucky - all this talk of reforming this animal. Attempt this litmus test on yourself - Imagine YOUR child or wife or mother or father was one of those murdered. Now listen to all the voices from the quarter that wants him rehabilitated etc. There will be only one just feeling in your mind, death by the cruelest means possible. We should send a strong signal to that terrorist nation next door that we execute those that execute the innocent among us.
