Hi guys, I was just browing the web when I saw a video converter good for all basic functions. Although there are no advanced features like watermark etc. but it is quite good for converting videos for uploading to youtube etc. There are almost all popular video and audio formats there and you can download it right now. It is a legal software and given out as a free one for the next hour at the giveawayoftheday site. If anybody wants it for conversion download it from their site The software is named Wondershare Video Converter Platinum http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ Hope you like it and it is useful for you. NOTE: If you download the software from the giveawayoftheday site always make sure you download, intall as well as activate it before the free giveaway timing for that software ends. Enjoy newbie youtube uploaders and other folks! :icflove:

For anybody who is new to giveaway of the day they give out paid softwares free of cost everyday as promotion of the softwares Although I personally do not use most of their free giveaways but if anyone finds the softwares useful then you can visit their site daily for the free softwares http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ And if anyone is interested in games, then they can get games too as free giveaways from their game site http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/ Their games are less popular however as those are not quality games and they do not update their game giveaway site daily

Hopefully we dont get any malware in those installs...some discussions at: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/forums/topic/719
I dont think there would be malware .. It is mentioned in their site that it is Giveaway of the day is adware/spyware-free .. so that should not be a problem And giveawayoftheday is quite popular .. it is recognized by Yahoo as a good giveaway site .. I have personally seen this site for at least two or three years and I dont think there should be any problem And regarding today's software I have downloaded it personally in one of my extra computers and installed and activated it .. there are no problems I found .. and I also converted the videos and it is working fine and that is the reason I recommended it here :yawn2:

I have avg and I scan each and every installation file before running them. The only source I can blindly trust is download.com. The cnet editors check each and every software and they are damn good.
You can trust softpedia too blindly ... they also check all files for malware, spyware .. but download.com has got the biggest collection of softwares though cnet has included more ads nowadays and it is quite frustating nowadays to go to download.com When you search for anything on download.com nowadays and the first few are only sponsored softwares nowadays which I do not like .. and they do not promote the good free softwares and only give the best reviews for the paid softwares.. cnet is becoming biased nowadays :(( If you want a huge collection of softwares you can also visit sourceforge.net .. almost all the softwares there are free there though it is advisable to scan them beforehand as virus or malware might be present int the exe files .. they do not guarantee adware/spyware free

No problem buddy and thanks for appreciating  There are free substitutes to almost all paid softwares in the world .. I myself am a great supporter of free softwares, GNU GPL licensed softwares and even creative commons license I personally have a couple of sites promoting free softwares though they have not been active recently But on a serious note I also like earning money being a webmaster .. so I do not know how fair I am when I expect most things provided by others to be free ... you know the typical Indian mentality :--D But free softwares and products rock ... maybe my hatred for most paid softwares started due to the extra $$$ charged by M$ .. they had made monopoly and does not give the best service either .. all their products are overpriced .. I only buy paid softwares which are essential for me and whose free substitutes are not good.. otherwise free softwares are the only way to go :eyedance: Free products rock .. Firefox is a very good example and I am using it right now :dance::dance:

:hatsoff: You have a knack for whining.
And, you have a knack for stupidity. This post which you claimed was whine - there was no whining in that. So :whack:

Viru Rulez and Domaink, Thanks. Good to learn the freeware sites. Yes, so far, I too trust download.com the most, but good to know these other sites too.
