Ram Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 The pressure is definitely increasing on Bhajji with first the emergence of Ojha and now Ashwin. Wonder for how long will he continue to have a first-priority in the team, part of which is not just due to his seniority, but also because of the relationship he shares with the top-brass of the team. Ironically, Dhoni is the captain of CSK and it is impossible for him to miss how effective Ashwin has been, in curbing the run-flow of the batsmen in the IPL. And one of the major failings of the Indian ODI team has been its inability of the seamers to curb the run flow. Ashwin success might just prompt a re-think of the strategy and force Dhoni to play 2 spinner + 2 pacers + all rounder, rather than the current 1 spinner + 3 pacers + all-rounder.

Ram Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Aswhin messes up one over, he goes from promising prospect to an absolute no-hope. Suresh Raina misses the easiest of run-out chances, he should go from India's best fielder to Danesh Kaneria's direct descendant. :winky:
