King
Lara seems to be at loggerheads with the past greats every now and then. Perhaps he finds it very hard to counter his ego problem. Yet another row at a wrong time. Check out more cricket news at http://www.deccanherald.com Link to comment
yoda
Re: Clash of the titans - Another Lara tantrum His comments seem pretty mellow to me contrary to the title of the report/article. It is good that Lara is atleast trying different combinations unlike us. Link to comment
King
Re: Clash of the titans - Another Lara tantrum Believe me every time West Indies has lost he has had some lame excuses. Everyone knew it was pretty silly to have 8 batters and 3 bowlers in the line up. Even if West Indies raked up 250 runs no way they were going to be able to win the game with 3 bowlers. Among the 3 bowlers even if one had an off day the game was a goner. The pitch was helping the bowlers and it was pretty silly to drop you good new ball bowler. Lara clearly blundered but still continued to defend his tactics. How about the "He is just the manager" quote about Clive Lloyd? Link to comment
kumble_rocks
Re: Clash of the titans - Another Lara tantrum Even Holding and Ian Smith were concurring with Roberts on this issue when they were commentating the match. Jerome Taylor is a strike bowler. No sense in dropping him from the playing 11 in the last match in my opinion. Link to comment
Cricketics
Re: Clash of the titans - Another Lara tantrum now he will come up with email which will be exposed in cricnfo, the bottom line would that be "he being sorry" and this would soon be followed by his retirement from odi cricket..
