It's not the bowling that will win games in Twenty20. Any bowler can get whacked and any bowler can get wickets. Just choose the all rounders such as Irfan, Yousuf, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma (after his 4 wickets burst), Bhajji, Zaheer in the lower middle order and that will do the job. I guess only couple of specialist bowlers that can make the team is RP Singh and Ojha. I'd say a XII such as Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Yousuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Irfan Pathan, Bhajji, Zaheer, Ojha and RP Singh will win more games than lose.

Irfan, Balaji, Gony, VRV should never be allowed anywhere near an Indian team. They are bloody rundaatas who have no control over there line and length and less spoken about their pace the better. VRV used to be nippy but i think he has lost it completely and seems hes competing with Preity Zinta for the size of their respective tits.

I can't believe poster whom I had considered well informed form judgments over a bowler in a format where Yuvraj and Rohit Sharma are picking up hatricks.
I am still talking of ODIs and T20s here. Sreesanth should hopefully be back in tests and the hype surrounding Balaji's return, as also Gony and VRV (sometime back) seems quite unjustified.

The reality is that in the last IPL the part time bowlers had a very hard time...Somehow the conditions in SA have made part time bowlers the flavour of the season...I still remember Dimi's sixes off Yuvraj and T20 World Cup might be rough to part time bowlers.

IKP and PK are useful especially IKP with the bat .. T20 does not depend a lot on the bowling as the world's best bowler can get tonked for sixes in the format .. I would instead opt for more bowling and batting options so that the team has options .. frequent bowling change and a deep batting lineup are one of the main way to succeed in t20 So, as I mentioned in a previous post I would opt for the t20 WC Sehwag Gambhir Rohit sharma Yuvraj Raina Dhoni Yusuf Pathan Irfan Pathan/Praveen Kumar Harbhajan Singh Zaheer Khan R P Singh This lineup will give us batting upto no. 10 batsman as even Zak can bat if needed while Bhajji and IKP/PK bats quite well. This lineup will also give us a lot of bowling options as there would be four specialist bowlers in R P Singh, Zak, Bhajji and IKP/PK .. then there are a lot of other bowling options like Sehwag, Yuvi, Raina, YKP and Rohit Sharma. Any bowler can be tonked in his day in t20 and none of the bowlers have been consistent .. instead go for more tonking batsmen and allrounders and a lot of bowling options

Rohit is a specialised batsmen and he cannot be left out .. even if he scores 20-30 quick runs that would be useful ... the spinners should be able to do well in English conditions and Veeru, Yuvi, YKP, Raina and Rohit can take care of 4 overs left for the fifth bowler .. anyways one thing which I have seen in t20 is that if bowlers are changed frequently then opposition batsmen are not able to go after them easily because it takes around 1-2 balls to get to terms with the new bowler .. so a frequent bowling change between Veeru, Yuvi, YKP, IKP, Raina and Rohit will what I would advise for the 8 overs to be bowled and the rest 12 overs can be bowled by R P Singh, Zak and Bhajji
