CricketGirl Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 ^ yoda, You mean they do what they do, and then mandate it with "expectations"? Sorry - just because you take care of kids, does not mean you can run their lives when they have become an adult (No emotional blackmailing please). Sure, Indian parents can expect kids to take care of them (as practically possible) in their old age. I believe we should do all we can to help our parents, and give them any assistance we can do in their retired life etc. Also, kids should not ignore parents - loneliness is tough, so try to connect with them as much as possible. Love them, care for them, be sincere about it, be their friend - I agree with all of this. But, that does not mean - they get to dictate who you can marry or what career path you should do etc? That is the individual's life, right? Fineleg i agree!!:icflove:
