Texy Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Avira is a good one too.... but none of these free ones will completely secure the pc.... why are we so cheap when it comes to Anti Virus? Zone alarm Pro is awesome...comes with spyware removal.... and they always have mail in rebates when you buy...so its pretty cheap or even free some times... plus when you upgrade next year...you can use the upgrade mail in rebate form also...which will make it very inexpensive or free...next time you upgrade.

AVG gives out too much false alerts like Norton I dont think an antivirus only is the best option to make your PC secure.. I advise a firewall cum anti virus for all round protection I highly advise downloading the comodo firewall cum antivirus free of cost .. it is better than most with daily updates but hardly many know about it And there is one more thing.. always be judicious while surfing .. most virus and malware are present in free files .. take care while installing .exe files especially and try not to install any unless required and trustworthy

AVG sucks for false alarms and when it comes to blocking real viruses it craps up and I have to reinstall windows. I am using Avira though, if you can ignore a pop up everyday it'll do a good job.
