Seamers lord over Lancashire 18 June 2009 Andrew Flintoff hits Dimitri Mascarenhas for a straight six, but the Hampshire skipper had the last laugh, removing him for 12 Lancashire found themselves in the mire at Aigburth, losing six wickets inside 33 overs on the second day of their LV= County Championship Division One clash with surging Hampshire. After the first day was washed out in Liverpool yesterday, Lancashire slipped to 113 for six. Andrew Flintoff made only 12 before he was snared by England team-mate Dimitri Mascarenhas, who then claimed the wicket of opener Paul Horton. Dominic Cork, who was released by Lancashire last autumn, also claimed a wicket while Chris Tremlett picked up a brace to leave the hosts in trouble on 105 for five at lunch. Steven Croft followed after the interval. Lancashire’s great rivals Yorkshire were also struggling at 144 for five in the third day of their match with bottom side Worcestershire at New Road. Former England captain Michael Vaughan fell for 43, one of three victims for Chris Whelan on the third morning, as Yorkshire continued their response to the home side’s 415. On day three at Hove, Sussex kept alive their slim hopes of victory by bundling out Somerset for 178 in their second innings, leaving the hosts a target of 349 to win. The hosts conceded a 170-run deficit on first innings when they were bowled out for 197 yesterday but they hit back well this morning. Piyush Chawla’s stellar start to his county career continued with took 6-52, complemented by Tom Smith’s 3-64.

Guest Hiten. Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Why not ? Its english county and they want Freddie to get as much practice before the Ashes.
Sachinism Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 VVS scores 63 in 45 balls in a T20 game, while Flintoff hits 93 in 41 and got out to a quite spectacular catch
afridi6666 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 saw the match, albeit against the worst county team, he handled the short ball reasonably , but flintoff getting 90 odd proves how small the boundaries were,
Sachinism Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ^^ You're comment about Freddie sounds like you feel Freddie can only clear small boundaries :hmmm:
afridi6666 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ^^ You're comment about Freddie sounds like you feel Freddie can only clear small boundaries :hmmm: he is the easiest guy to get out, bowl a slower ball or play him vs a spinner, since the ashes his batting has gone downhill according to the daily mail, he is the 4th biggest hitter in history :haha:
diegovegaz Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 i saw his innings typical laxman, pierced gaps beautifully, some straight fours, and a six over fine lef as well scored 63 i guess had a 99 run partnership with flintoff
