Pak players want a pay rise in IPL

All the mosquitos have come out to suck :finger:

lol...all the bugs have come out to take their shots at Pakistan. We are world champions in T20, we have always been the best in T20 and will remain so for a very very long time. Well in Test, hmm probably after a year or two we can get to the top spot, our bowling looks bright its only the batting collapse that we need to work on, but knowing Pakistan, such collapses are bound to happen every now and then. :--D
:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: First beat us. B->

Actually this pakistani team is mid tier at best. just because they can bowl the fuller length well in the shorter forms of the game,that does not mean the numerous weaknesses of the team can be hidden when the real tests begin. lack of proper specialist batsmen,batsmen brought up on loose techniques,lack of great bowlers are all there to see. i can't see the gaps being plugged anytime soon. The t20 victory was based on their bowlers bowling the fuller length impeccably during the crucial beginning and end overs and a few western teams having problems picking afridi and ajmal this season. does not mean anything for the longer forms of the game.

you will first have to make it to semis or final' date=' to even face Pakistan. B-> :--D[/quote'] You are taken far to much stock from 20/20 lottery cricket. You know tests is the real test for a team. The one were you see how good your boys are. You flunked! Next world 20/20 cup you will not win it. As am sure someone elses numbers will come up. Then what will you have left to chat about?

Won't argue with that, the longer the format the more predictable or as some of my countrymen like to say "unpredictable" our team becomes. I'd place ourselves in the middle-lower tier in Test/ODI cricket alongside WI and NZ. But everyone should give them credit where its due, Pakistan are a top side in T20 no one can/should deny that. Its the nature of the format that suits our "good for 25 balls" players. Pakistan has nearly a 80% win rate in T20 cricket.

However, I feel you are overestimating your 20/20 prowess. As the fickle nature of the format will see you getting dissapointed if you expect consistent and dominant victories. One simply can't underestimate the complete randomness 20/20 results, which pak will no doubt be subjected to. You will see you will not win next world cup as the ficklness will mean another team will win. Which team will win is impossible to predict as so many possible winners, which in effect makes my point

I dont understand why they are asking pay rise now. They were runners up last time around and played well then too. IPL happened after that. They could have negogiated then. why now?
It is all pure Bull ****. That was just a Lame Ass Dig at BCCI/India for them having won the T20. That is all there to it. Since they won the T20 they had to take a shot at BCCI and India and in all that excitement, hot bloodedness -- they blabbered some crap. For no sane person -- who understands fully how players get drafted into IPL -- would have said that. Having said that I also have a bad feeling the Pakis sign contracts without reading the fine print properly just based on what -- some agent (read some joker from PCB) -- tells them. Which is also why Mohammed Yousuf had so many problems in ICL. They dont know what they hell they are signing on. Believe me if the contract said -- "Modi can have your wife as a maid if you fail to turn up" -- they would still sign it. The moronic paki players are completely unaware of rules and regulations and they dont even make an effort to know them before signing on them.

Why ? Afridi has developed into a very good legspinner. There can be some debate on how effective he will be in Test matches but the way he has bowled in the last couple of years he at least deserves a chance. Though he is not in the squad for this series.

Not true at all. I like every format of cricket and every format needs a different skillset to be good at it and i feel Pakistan have players who posses the necessary skillset to be good at T20. I have heard the term "lottery cricket" a lot used around here which baffles me, there was nothing "lottery" about WI/Eng identifying a problem with Indian top order and executing their plans to high success. It was pure win using cricket. Teams with consistent T20 players such as Malinga, Dilshan, Gul, Afridi, Parnell, Kallis, Bravo turned out to be the top teams, again nothing lottery about that.

Rainy day we will see about that in the next T20 cup. This time Pakistan had a relatively easy rout. All they had to do was winning semi and final where famous chokers SA as usual choked . NZ was depleted. Then you beat Ireland, Netherlands. Lost to England and Sri lanka in the preliminary rounds. England simply smoked your "skilled" T20 team. Atleast India ran close to beating England.

'warm up' analyse the two words... just a practice game my friend, the fact that no records from that game get recorded shows the significiance of that game, but i guess that is the only thing you can take away from your disastrous world cup :hysterical:
