Superstition in Superstar's names.

All of us love to watch while Sachin Tendulkar is batting or Lara dictating in the middle or Allen Border leading or Sunil Gavaskar grinding against the best bowling line up. They have some special charm in their names. Names?? :chin: Yes names. They have the best names to be amongst the best cricket batsmen in the world. You don't think so. Let me give you another example here. Think of Shane Warne at his best, or that rhythm of McGrath, or sheer pace of Waqr, Akram or Akhtar bowling. Again there is something special in their names to be best bowlers in the world. Now everyone must be totally confused :shrug: as to what their names gotta do with them being amongst the best batsmen or bowlers? But the answer is Yes. Their Names. Have you ever noticed that best batsmen in the world have letter 'R' in their names somewhere. So all these names you see above have that magic letter in their names. Not sure how this letter R makes the above said players one of the best but they all have this letter appearing in their names. So let us try to extend this list little further and explore few more name. Brian Charles Lara Rahul Sharad Dravid Allan Robert Border Sachin Ramesh Tendular Sunil Manohar Gavaskar Ricky Ponting Guess what "R" stands for Runs. :wtg: Then one must wonder what about JH Kallis, Steave Waugh, Matthew Hayden, David Boon? :shrug: Weren't they one of the very top batsmen. Why don't their names have that magic letter in them. But wait. You will be surprised with this. We are talking about Jacques Henry Kallis, Stephen Rodger Waugh, Matthew Lawrence Hayden, David Clarence Boon. You still don't believe this. Then go through the complete list best batsmen in the world history and you will be surprised how true this is. They have that magic letter 'R' in their names. :lmao: Of course, one may say this cant be true with the bowling. But it is true there as well. Only different is here we are looking for those whose name have a sound of 'K', like 'k', 'Kh', 'C', 'Ch'. Kapil Dev Akram Imran Khan McGrath Again comes the name like what about the greatest bowler, Shane Warne. But mind you, his real name is SK Warne. Same is for Denis Lillee is DK Lillee and Chaminda vaas is actually Warnakulasuriya ..,....Vaas. This list again can be extended to many more names, Malcum Marshal, Michael Holding, Curtly Ambrose, Curtney Walcsh, Shoab Akhtar, Richards Hadley, Anil Kumble and so on. I always felt that there is some connection. So our current breed of bowlers like Sresanth, Zaheer are quite talented and they will stay for some time to come. But players like Munaf Patel, Habhajan, w/o K in their names will suffer in their careers. We all know how Srinath was such an unlucky fellow that he could never touch that height. He always appeared an ordinary bowler even after being so hard working. Luck would never favor him. I think Md. Sami, Bhajji are some more example. Or else how one could explain Yuvraj being leading team member as against Md. Kaif w/o R in his name being thrown out of the team. How could Agarkar survive for so long? Please help me finding other names. Sadly very few but very great names cant be added here as their full names are not available or few don't use their middle names, like Inzamam-ul-huq, Javed Miandad, Alan Donald or Joel Garner, Brett Lee and the biggest name of all is Muttiah Murlitharan :eew:. They are exceptions to this. Who knows they have these Magic letters in their middle names but they don't use 'em. I don't mean to say these players are any less talented or something. However superstitious it may sound, I feel there is some connection. What do you all say??

Not sure about your theories but it's a common letter to be found in names and looks like you did quite a bit of research on this. Nice find brother!
