KP is the best: Australian cricketers

Assuming the poll wasnt fixed, these are merely opinions of the Aussie cricketers. And we all know, Opinion != Truth While Sachin silently piles on the runs, other batsmen make their debuts, get dropped, get in again, get in form, score runs, go out of form, get dropped, get selected, score runs, retire, write autobiograhies, become chief selectors of their national teams, complete tenures and retire again. :D Sachin is THE one constant among the sea of variables that come and go around him. First, they compared him with Lara, then with Mark Waugh, then with Aravinda De Silva, then with Kallis, then with Ponting, then with Dravid and with Sangakkara and now, guys like Smith Pietersen. He's seen batsmen of 2 generations/3 decades. He's quite simply, NUMERO UNO!

If the question was who is the most gifted batsmen then I'm positive Tendulkar would win. I think the question was who is the best, as in present. Maybe Tendulkar still is but lets be honest, it's not a big deal just opinion.

KP is a fantastic batsmen, glad he wasn't born and brought up in England otherwise he would have been technically brilliant with hardly any runs to show.

He made the most runs today for England...if that tells anything ^_^ He may be Englands best, but to prove himself among the best in the world he has long ways to go.

The Australians had a great nic for him in the last Ashes: FIGJAM (***** I'm Good, Just Ask Me). Appropriate. Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting is a significantly better batsman than Pietersen IMO. It'll take a long time and some really grand knocks from KPP to change that.
