Ranchi, July 11: Mahendra Singh Dhoni`s wait to become a graduate prolongs after the Indian skipper missed his B.Com Part One examination this year duo to international commitments. The prestigious St Xavier`s College has denied to give the promotion to Dhoni, who had taken admission to the institution last year and was entitled to flexi-attendance. "He did not appear in the B.Com Part One examination," said A K Sinha, Head of Examinations, without revealing any more detail. Dhoni also missed his first semester examination held in December last year. "Only when an examinee writes his papers then only his result can be termed as pass or fail. In Dhoni`s case it can be said absent as he missed both his semesters. He can complete his two semesters next year only," Dean Jayant Sinha said. But what use is a degree anyway unless one plans to get a job after hanging up the boots..which is a bit of a long shot in several ways...for one someone like dhoni would've comfortable made enough cash for several generations to live..besides you can't do nuts with a B.com

Not necessarily - for some people, change of work is vacation/clearing the mind. Dhoni might think this will help him focus on something else for a change, and this might help him.

Of course he wants to graduate! Sad as it would be to loose him, he has to think about life after cricket. Besides, education should always be important no matter who you are.

Degree is just a piece of paper that gets you a job...it has never equated to education in its true sense.. I'm sure Dhoni could do something useful in cricket itself after he hangs up his boots
