Yes to the rugby. Been part of my life since before birth. The Royal Baphokeng Sports Palace is closest to where I live. Not much of a football fan & won't be going to any matches.

Also within easy traveling distance: Soccer City & Ellis Park (now Coca Cola Park, although Ellis may be retained for the World Cup :dontknow:) in Johannesburg. Loftus in Pretoria. A day trip to either (or both) of these cities is pretty common in my life. PS: The 'ph' in Baphokeng should actually be an 'f', but then the word gets blocked.

Sigh! What a pity Mari. The BIGGEST thing on the planet is coming to your town/country and you'll be giving it a miss. If only our country's (Canada) weather allowed us some events like :(( Hopefully I can make it to India for cricket World Cup

At least go support your boys. Also be in the stadium for the atmosphere if not for the game :giggle:. I am sure you would have never witnessed a capacity crowd of 50k-60k for any sporting event in SA ? :hmmm:

I haz a sinking feeling our boys won't go far. They were lucky to draw a game against Namibia last week *embarassed* :hmmm: When the Blue Bulls won last year's Super 14? Firsthand - nopes.

No offence, but of course they won't be going to the last 16 (but don't forget funny things have happened in the past) . If anything yougotta take a pride in them participating in FIFA WC :two_thumbs_up:

Not very likely. I would love a surprise though!

the same can be said of the other team in your group - France. They probably wouldn't have qualified if not for the hand of Henry;)
