champ Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 every team has their share of fast bowling all rounders . last match matthews came with a half century . today johnson came up with a quick fire 50.. but where are indian all rounders. this is my take on this.. in india selectors are obsessed with batting and bowling averages. so the expectation seems to be high. They are looking for a player in domestic circuit who scores a century and get a 5 wkt haul..tat is not gonna happen right?? so look out for average all rounders ..who knows with senior guidance in team .. he may turn out to be good in long run..

champ Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 tats right.. here they are taking his high economy rates for consideration.. but he is a good batsmen.. i m sure he will come good 1 in 3 matches in bowling dept which shld be good enuf for us.. batting i have no doubt about his abilities.
ViruRulez Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Irfan is the best allrounder we have right now.dunno why hes not in CT squad I agree that Irfan is the best fast bowling all rounder in India at least within the last decade but maybe there might be others like Nayar etc. soon

cowboysfan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 my question to dhoni and the selectors is why they picked mishra when they knew they were never going to play him?.without a medium pacer all-rounder it is very tough for us to pick 2 frontline spinners.irfan should have been in the squad.
donkey Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Sir aggy was our best bet, I bet he could still bowl faster than RP.
Celeste Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Only real good all rounders these days are Morkel & Flintoff.
