Mr. Wicket Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 started yesterday :woot: Simpsons was shockingly good for a Comic Book Guy episode ("I played hardball with Hollywood - the closest I will ever come to playing a sport in my life" :hysterical:) FG had some hit and miss moments, but the Disney parallel universe was just ****ing amazing. Meanwhile the Cleveland Show sucked ass. [For those who don't have TVs, go find it on Hulu.]
Sachinism Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Just got home from work and put them to download :) and entourage too
Sachinism Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Family Guy was funny but kinda went into over kill. Gonna finish Simpsons in a bit. You watch the cleveland show? I heard it was good
Mr. Wicket Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Yeah, there were some bits that were just plain boring - but the Disney parallel universe earns forgiveness for everything else. Cleveland Show sucked ass.
h4te Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I couldn't even watch the Cleveland show. WHAT THE ****? :wtf: Why the hell would you make spin-off of the least funny guy on a show. Atleast, make a spin-off of Quagmire or something..... FG was funny for the most part. It was a bit annoying too. But considering the past season, this is vast improvement :hehe: Haven't watched Simpsons yet ....
Sachinism Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 OK I take it there is no point in grabbing The Cleveland Show. Simpsons was ok. Some funny parts.
Mr. Wicket Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 I couldn't even watch the Cleveland show. WHAT THE ****? :wtf: Why the hell would you make spin-off of the least funny guy on a show. Atleast, make a spin-off of Quagmire or something..... At least this means no moar (or a lot less) Cleveland on FG. Guess they'll need a new token black guy now... h4te, worth seeing the Simpsons ep.
Mr. Wicket Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Why did you rate the Cleveland Show that high? In seriousness, I actually sat through the whole thing to give it a chance. But it was really predictable, boring and none of the "jokes" were funny. FG was far, far superior. Simpsons was my favourite for the night though.
h4te Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 ^ dude p_k, are you on LSD? 3/10 for that piece of ****? :headshake: I'll go watch Simpsons now :woot:
punjabi_khota Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 3/10 just for that girl-on-girl action and quagmire's funny ass comment. :lightbulb:
Mr. Wicket Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 5/10 for the girl/girl action sounds fair, but then minus 5/10 for the rest of the episode, especially Cleveland Junior being the most annoying supporting character I've ever seen?
Mr. Wicket Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Just watched the Simpsons ep again on Hulu. :hysterical: @ the Comic Book Guy playing hardball with Hollywood scene.
The Outsider Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Big Bang Theory and 2.5 men I found Big Bang Theory to be the biggest pile of BS inflicted upon the TV watching audience - I have seen hundreds of Physics/Math/Astrophysics majors and graduates and none of them was remotely like the characters portrayed there.
punjabi_khota Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 How I met your mother is the best non-cartoon show. Srsly
Mr. Wicket Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 We aren't discussing non-cartoon shows here! :offtopic: :orderorder: And now watching the Simpsons' Waverly Hills 90210 ep from last season on Hulu. Homer singing Stand by me = :hail:
Mr. Wicket Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Meh. OK-to-decent eps of the Simpsons and FG tonight without any major highs or lows, but the Cleveland Show really sucked.
h4te Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Meh. OK-to-decent eps of the Simpsons and FG tonight without any major highs or lows, but the Cleveland Show really sucked. what did you expect? and more importantly, why would you watch it again this week? :hmmmm2:
Mr. Wicket Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 It was sandwiched in between Simpsons and FG. So I figured I'd give it a chance beyond the pilot and see if they came up with anything good on their own once the characters were established. Now I've lost 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. But at least I have the Beethoven 7th to cure me of the effects of all that suckiness.
