Being in a group that is supposed to be "easy" may have caused DC to be a little too sure of themselves. They should have batted with more care to start with, then maybe less wickets would have been lost so cheaply. And what the heck was Fidel Edwards thinking? Being able to complete his overs may have made a difference. Anyway, this was the most exciting match so far in the CL imo.

DC lack batting depth. RP is not good enough batsman to walk at No. 7 but if they want to play four front line bowlers then their middle order should bat more sensibly. Symonds played a nothing shot, so did Rohit. If they want to strengthen their batting they should look at replacing Fidel with Ryan Harris.

They are dependent on Gauti, Veeru and Dilshan and to some extent Karthik. Rest all are completely crap. Out of the IPL teams, BRC have the best batting depth maybe upto 7th or 8th wicket .. Van Der Merwe came at 8 that day and he is not a bad batsman.. even PK at 9 can bat a bit

This is T20 - hit and giggle cricket, but stil lfor a team sport it is probably important to be from the same area/background (homogenous) for it to be successfult. SA and Australias have that, while IPL and English county teams have more foreign players and for a team sport it is detrimental. So I think Cobras or NSW wil win this in the end,

Good batsman and solid hitters but no batting depth and no genuine all-rounders. Very poor bowling attack too....and just like the Indian team made a nail-biting match out of the somerset game. :icflove:

That and all the Indian players of the respective IPL teams do not play for a particular state/ zone in the domestic competition as well.
