falconhawk Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Since Dhoni's captaincy, he only strengthed the batting. He should also make the strong bowling line-up. i couldn't believe we were relying on Nehra who was our main bowler. Come on, can't we produce better bowlers than that? We have over millions of populations. Why can't we search for better bowlers? this is the line-up i like. Zaheer Khan Irfan Pathan Nehra Amit Harbhajan sub: Ishant Sharma
jf1gp_1 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 i couldn't believe we were relying on Nehra who was our main bowler. Come on, can't we produce better bowlers than that? unless for some reason BCCI doesnt like selecting quality bowlers for India team (i also have as theory involving aliens abducting express bwolers in domestic cricket) the answer to your question is NO
Shane Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 We have over millions of populations. You sound sooo much like your captain.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Since Dhoni's captaincy' date=' [b']he only strengthed the batting. Who said our batting is strong. Barring Sachin, Yuvi, Viru.. our other batsmen are not being consistent.. we had to go back to the wall.. i wont agree that our batting is strong either.. way to go for us in batting dept as well
Aadhavzone Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I think thats not a Dhoni's problem! Its selection committee blunder..... S Tyagi, Sanghwan etc could be given a try Zaheer, Nehra, & Mishra are good now! :iloveicf:

Riley's Girl Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 You can't seriously hold Dhoni resposible for the incompetence of the bowlers. Does he force the selectors to keep picking bowlers who don't deliver? Maybe it's time the selectors and the bowling coach answered some of the tough questions.
saneindian Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 What does the TS want Dhoni to do? Does he expect Dhoni to teach them bowling fast, help them become stronger or does he want dhoni to ensure pitches have some help for bowlers? Would be lovely to hear TS's thoughts about what he expects MSD to do?

You do realize that most of the schools in India don't offer cricket teams nor the amenities to learn proper cricket. Most of the population plays either gully cricket and/or with their own rules. Most don't get proper training. A lot of people dont consider bowling as a part of cricket they only throw the ball while standing in one spot. Comparing this with countries lie OZ and NZ where kids play cricket for school and then for town then city then state and then for country.
