even though the injuries are more on the australian side and look depleted .. i dont see they are under any pressure unlike the indians who seem to look under pressure at home.. prabably a few players place is also in question .. that could be a reason .. so this will always work for the aussies in this series .. :((

Henriques returns, Australia induct McDonald and Cockley Press Trust Of India Hyderabad, November 04, 2009 First Published: 19:24 IST(4/11/2009) Last Updated: 19:30 IST(4/11/2009) Nursing a hamstring injury, Moises Henriques on Wednesday became the latest Australian to return home midway through the India tour and the beleaguered visitors inducted Victorian all-rounder Andrew McDonald and New South Wales fast bowler Burt Cockley to prop up the depleted side. Cricket Australia said in a press release that Henriques would return home tonight after suffering a hamstring injury during the fourth ODI in Mohali. In such a situation, the CA National Selection Panel (NSP) announced that McDonald and Cockley would join the squad for the sixth ODI in Guwahati as replacement players for Henriques and Peter Siddle, who returned home early this morning with stiffness in his left side. "Moises complained of some discomfort after the fourth ODI in Mohali. He had an MRI scan when we arrived in Hyderabad, which showed signs of injury to the right hamstring," Australian physiotherapist Kevin Sims said. "The medical staff believe the injury will not recover sufficiently for him to participate in the last week of the tour and therefore we have decided he will return to Australia where he will continue his treatment," Sims added.

I thought Nannes would be called at least now as they do not have almost any backups left. But it is really sad to see Nannes treated almost like an outcast now. He is not called into the team even now but they are instead opting to play with 13 member squad. I dont know it is racist or something but the treatment meted out on Nannes is really sad. Even in his peak, Nannes does not seem to have any good future except IPL. There is no news of replacements now and Nannes is nowhere mentioned. :((

Why is Nannes not picked. Is he an outcast from Australia or are they being racist for being originally from Netherlands. It is really pathetic behaviour of the Aus cricket board. He is treated as an outcast and players not anywhere near his standards are being named as replacements in the series but they do not even want to give a single chance to him although he has been consistent throughout. Something is really wrong with the Aus board as I cannot imagine that after all these injuries too he is not given a chance. This was the best chance for Nannes to be included in the team after having been treated as an outcast for long.

Definately not racist... Maybe because he is a traitor and a reject

You are spot on. It is a racist decision. For many years now Cricket Aust run secret policy similar to the South African one black guy rule. They only allow one cricketer of a small european country decent per squad. Since Dirks Nannes and Jon Holland were both born and raised in Australia they decided Holland was a better representation since his nick name is actually 'dutchy'.
