Would regularly come in and eat up the middle overs. His SR is in the 60s over the last 2 years. . THe only time I've seen him bat immensly slow is in games that we win anyway because we are chasing and he plays accordingly.. Link to comment

Clarke's slow batting did not cost us matches against SA, we just got outplayed all round. The ones against NZ I only remember him making a hundred (a slow one, yes) but he was still making runs. Australia is still the No.1 cricket team, and with full strength, they are back to being world champions. There's no doubting that. We have the talent, but not the management. Not a good thing with 2011 WC in mind, while Australia is polishing this young talent to be world champions already. Link to comment
