Nova
A 4-3 win will not cut it, and losing the series against a weak Aus team at home will just be embarrassing...( Australia are without key players and will still hope to give a fight. So to recap, who is now missing --> Brett Lee James Hopes Tim Paine Michael Clark Brad Haddin Nathen Bracken Callum Ferguson Moises Henriques Peter Siddle And who are we missing --> Zaheer Khan Gambhir and Sehwag should be back for the 5th ODI at Hyderabad. India just has no excuse..... Link to comment
Zap_Brannigan
This is like India missing Zaheer Jadeja Kholi D karthik Badrinath RP Singh Nehra Raina Pathan A bunch of nobodies with a couple of good players thrown in. Apart from Lee and Clark, the core players are still around. Sachin, Zaheer, Yuvraj, Sehwah, Ghambir have all had one injury or the other and have been missing a few games in the last couple of years and yet we have won most of it. Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
Bollinger is better. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
I'm really glad he's getting a go now, even if half of Australia had to go on the disabled list for it to happen. He's got a lot of heart, bowls the same way on a flat pitch at 200/1 as he would on a Briz greentop with a new ball and has been taking wickets for NSW for a while now with amazing consistency. Deserves better treatment from the selectors. Hopefully he can make some more cases for his selection ahead of jokes like Henriques and has-beens like Alice Bracken. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
Plus, we have been playing only with 10 players as SRT has done jacksh*t in this series and scored his runs at a pathetic SR :notsmiley: Link to comment
flamy
Alice Bracken :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: I was well surprised at Moses being selected tho. He is like Joginder Sharma :dontknow: Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
Except without the domestic performances. Link to comment

The Outsider
Agree...I would include Bracken in there as well I would add Clarke there as well' date=' especially given his excellent past record in India.[/quote'] Bracken has sucked over the last year or so. He is finished, IMO. The only team missing Clarke is India - he has been the single biggest reason for Australia's ordinary showing in ODIs recently. Would regularly come in and eat up the middle overs. His SR is in the 60s over the last 2 years. Siddle was good though, but Bollinger is a good enough replacement. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
Voges and Marsh are hardly doing anything though. The middle order has a hole in it with White hit-or-miss, and even with a mid-60s strike rate, Clarke would still bring more runs (and add some stability and experience, not to mention his fielding/bowling assets) than Voges/Marsh who are doing **** all. Jersey #10
India needs to win the series 5-2 to be number one after the Mohali loss. 4-3 will win the series and 5-2 will make us the best cricketing side on earth :omg: sounds great but it's nearly impossible Link to comment
ViruRulez
Though there are replacements but most of them are nowhere near the full strength Aus team. They would especially suffer with the bowling as their only fast bowlers remaining are Bollinger, Hilfy and Johnson. And Hilfy is not upto the mark of Lee or even Siddle. I also agree that we must win all the rest of the 3 games or it will be same especially after the return of Gauti in the rest of the matches. And we have a bit of the home advantage too. If we cannot beat the Aussies 5-2 then it will really be a big shame. Moreover, we will still remain at no.2 if we even beat them 4-3. Hope that we go with full force and thrash the Aus in the remaining matches and regain back the no.1 position Link to comment

If you cannot beat an average side convincingly, then what does it speak for our team? Link to comment
