Batting order for 5th ODI

Here is my choice 1. Sehwag 2. gambhir 3. Sachin 4. Yuvi 5. Dhoni 6. Raina 7. Kartik (Badly missing irfaan pathan...would have him in this spot) 8. Bajji 9. PK 10. Nehra 11. Ishant Sehwag, yuvi and raina combined together bowl close to 10 overs whether or not we have 5 specialist bowlers..so 4 specialist (sorry for considering bajji a specialist spinner inspite of his pathetic performace:giggle:) bowlers are good enough. The key lies in the batting line order and i hope dhoni does'nt screw it by sending a rookie like kartik or kohli at no 3 or 4. Irrespective of the playing 11, if sehwag, gambhir, sachin, yuvi, dhoni and raina are playing, then they need to occupy the first 6 slots. We will have a good chance of chasing a good total or posting a good total. Go india go!!!!B->

mmm only 4 bowlers with an out of form Bhajji, Ishant? And Kartik is playing the Ranji against railways.

i think the OP is a classic case of some indian fans' fascination with batsmen and strokeplayers. Going in with only 4 bowlers, without zak and an out of form ishanth is crazy. Why is it that people prefer to see karthik score 20 quick runs in the end rather than jadeja (no supporter of his) bowl a full quota of 10 decent overs and even take a couple of wickets? i think if jadeja is so hated, then the team should give a spot to mishra. Bowlers win more matches than batsmen do. I think the present batting order that we have is more than sifficient. Yeah well... they may not click all the time, but that doent mean we concentrate more on the batsmen all the time...

The way i see it..irrespective of whether we have 3 or 4 or 5 bowlers...all but one are going to have a miserable day and it is only our batsmen that come to our rescue most of the times. and yeah...we terribly miss zak.

so u would rather chase 320 with 7 batsmen (the 7th dwarf being dinesh karthik) rather than chase 280 with 6 batsmen and a meaty tail? anyway today our bowlers will get thrashed... even after the aus batting is depleted coz hyderabad pitch is a batting pitch.

I completely agree with the batting order and that is the one I have been suggesting for long. But I feel Jadeja might be included once again for his bowling. If included he should be sent after Bhajji and PK to bat. And I would also like either Tyagi or Munaf being given a chance in place of Ishant in this match.

Yep The batter Bhajji > The batter Jadeja(but he can defend better) The bowler Jadeja>The bowler Jadeja I know which one I would pick
