Indian trains recruit boxers and wrestlers

Boxers and wrestlers are being recruited by an Indian train company to intimidate thousands of ticketless travellers into paying up or getting off. India's Northern Railways, which has its own successful sports clubs and teams, drafted 36 boxers and wrestlers from among them to patrol its carriages. Those found travelling without a ticket will have to pay both the fare and a fine to remain on board. "For squads to justify their performance they must bring in more revenue for the railways. What better way to do that than have intimidating wrestlers ensuring that anyone travelling without a ticket fishes out the price of the ticket as well as a fine," one railway official told The Indian Express. The railway heavies have been seen on popular routes between New Delhi and cities like Agra and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. A spokesman for the Northern Railways denied the boxers and wrestlers were being deployed to intimidate passengers. "The boxers and wrestlers are Railway employees and are expected to function like any other ticker-checkers. There is absolutely no intimidation involved," he said http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/india/6538362/Indian-trains-recruit-boxers-and-wrestlers-in-fight-against-ticketless-passengers.html :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

Good. The WT travelers are such a headache. And if you are travelling through Bihar or UP in non-AC, you are screwed. They would get aboard in groups and force the passengers to accommodate them on their reserved berths. On many occasions those with a reservation would be forced to stand so that the ticket less idiots could sit. There was a case where an IAS officer who resisted was thrown off the running train. He died and in spite of many attempts by his wife, who was travelling with him on the same train, the case was closed as murder by unidentified assailants.

Bhai if you going through Bihar even in AC the hooligans still board the train and start teasing girls and fighting with TT. I have faced that where school kids (and future goonda mawali prospects) board the trains and start slapping and beating the ticket collectors if they are not given to travel free. They also come into the AC coaches and takes seats of innocent looking people and start teasing girls. They are a bunch of mofos and there are reports of these goons burning trains recently when not allowed to travel free of cost. It is a good step if Railways are hiring boxers and wrestlers. Maybe the hooligans will be taught their lessons soon.:--D

There should be armed guards on each train allowed to shoot anyone who involved in violence. Trains are so unsafe while going through Bihar.
