Desi Cartman
I had a Canon Video camera for the last few years but the camera is no longer working (. I want to buy a new Video camera now but I dont know what features are important. Please suggest what exactly should I be checking while selecting the new Video Camera. I dont want to spend more than 250-300 bucks. I am going to use it for 70 mins a year so I am not prepared to spend too much. Please help and suggest models or features ! :two_thumbs_up:

nikred
The most important feature is that it should be working, which I believe your present camera lacks.

Shane
vats the difference ? anyway I need a camcorder .. I guess thats one for personal use I guess camcorders come with an internal hdd and also a provision for a memory card, most useful for videos. Now-a-days there are digital video camera's too, these are sleek in design, memory is comparitively less, can be extended. Preffered, if usage of pictures is over videos. jf1gp_1
As you are on a budget do look at Sony MHS-CM1 under $200 its a very basic HD camcorder, uses memory card for recording. more than enough if all you are looking for is a couple of hrs per year

How important is flash in a video camera , I saw that some cameras have flash and some dont ... My last camera was Canon http://www.camcorderinfo.com/content/Canon-ZR500-Camcorder-Review.htm# It worked fine and didnt even have a flash. :dontknow:
