As for the comparison with Tendulkar, I hope he doesn't replicate what Tendulkar has, a selfish player who played for stats, which time and again has been proven.
Just like akmal Jr played ofr his 100 and 50 in this test match and go out when the team still required 50 runs. He played for his stat too and Pak lost this game :finger: So this is proven that he is selfish and a choker who plays for his stats. Now lets keep a tab on everytime he plays good and the team loses

You Indians are pathetic, you keep calling Tendulkar God, do you worship him? If he's god, why isn't his average the best in world cricket right now? .
Because averages arent the sole criteria for judging test bats. If they were, Lara and Richards would be much inferior test bats than Sanga and Mahela. According to your logic, they are

What a poor post, truly poor post. First off, how on Earth can you call a guy who adjusted his innings according to the team's requirements selfish. In the first innings he launched a counter attack, which was successful and in the 2nd he was much more selective in his shot play and was far more rigid. As for shots being atrocious, I don't think you were watching Umar Akmal bat, I think you may have him confused with Mohamed Asif or Chris Martin. You don't score 129 and 75 playing atrocious shots. As for beginner's luck, this guy has performaed at every venture and every turn in his domestic and international career so far. No luck about a player who scores and wins admirers the world over. In terms of young batting talent, this guy is the most talented young bat I've seen since De Villiers and Yuvraj were discovered.
?? but its true. he choked when it mattered. i dont know how you can deny that fact. and look at some of the shots he played against bond. he had no clue what he was doing, reminded me of srinath batting. atleast srinath batting like that was entertaining, watching akmal batting like that was cringeworthy.

Absolutely, so far Umar's average is 102 in losses, what a selfish player, choker

But he was using the same logic which you use to deride Sachin's runs :haha: You just look at Sachin's score, then you look at his matches won, and then you call him selfish and playing for his own runs. You dont look at when and in what situtaion the runs were scored. Using the same Logic, Umar's scores did not help the team win so they were selfish runs

And that will happen a lot cos he is in a poor team. So that will mean he is choker. All these stats on runs scored in wins etc are frankly meaningless. You put the best batter in world in Bangla team, that person will score lots of runs in losing causes cos his team mates are useless. Does that make that player a choker etc ? No! So these runs in wins stats are nonsense. Someone like S Waugh probably has great stats in runs scored in winning causes, thats cos wether he scored runs or not the aussies won. So what does the stat prove?

Being an Indian, of course I understand that. Just pointing the hypocrisy of king2be98 who uses the winning/losing stuff to put Sachin down

All that is sensible and logical. Which is exactly why the pakis don't get it. They rubbish the greatest batsman of all time for being choker, selfish etc. so little is the collective brain power in that country

So you will pick a player in a Test match for fielding?
Farhat scored total 23 runs in the whole test match. Those 3 are can possibly do 3x better than that.

Its good to see that people on this forum are praising him' date=' for once i thought our future isnt looking bright, but the young guns aamer and umar akmal are taking us back to 1990s when inzamam and wasim akram came as good replacements for imran khan and javed miandad[/quote'] Yes we are being realistic -- unlike people from Paki Land. When there is a special genuine talent -- he will get obvious praises and not make asinine comments by comparing Inzy to SRT or Anwar to Dravid by throwing some numbers which show how Inzi scored more than SRT on Friday Afternoons between 2 PM and 3 PM. I have got no special love for Pakis, but matter of fact remains that Umar (at least as of now) seems to be a special talent and we (atleast most of us ) acknowledge it.
