hmm i don know dude, everytime i listen to Viva la vida it is like a whiff of fresh air and i like many of their older songs too. I think they are one of the very good alternative rock bands to have ever played music!

Its ok.. not one of their best songs IMHO. Its not bad dont get me wrong. I dont mind Coldplay- went to see them last year in Birmingham and they were pretty good. One of my favourite Coldplay songs, may not be a very famous one I dont think it was ever a single; but it should have been h8oTT9r9978&feature=related

I'm not sure they were ever meant to carry Oasis' mantle! Radiohead appeal to an altogether more 'intelligent' listener than either Oasis or Coldplay. They are probably the biggest band in the world- perhaps second after U2, so not doing too badly- regardless of critical derision. I thought Liam liked Coldplay...Im sure theres a story about how he was inspired to be a better songwriter after listening to Coldplay. Noel G and Chris Martin are mates.
