When is it going to enter your thick skull that it doesn't matter who plays better cricket. It only matters that the popular players play and ii dont mean popular in some insignificant country, i mean popular in India that matters...since its Indian domestic competition. As much as Brett lee and Ponting are popular in India, more people who line up to watch Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj, Bhajji, Sehwag, Gambhir, Ishant, Raina, Dhoni, Laxman play and that's what matters. Besides, You are basing that Aussies have better domestic players based on 1 tournament ? How about all the time we won U19 WC and A tours ? Aussies players are good, but it just doesnt matter. Zap_Brannigan
Ever heard of marketing kiddo? ICL had a lot of foreign players too. What happened? If Aussie players are so damn popular, how come IPL is more successful and not their own competition ? Marsh.....Have you ever heard about Mangal pandey? He has the highest score in IPL by an Indian and he is no where near the international team selection. How abt that guy in the 1st IPL who played for RR (i dont even remember his name because there were so many) India, infact was a finalist (maybe even won it) with SA in the last A tour with Aus and NZ. Pak_Forever
Foreign players, especially Australians are the biggest reason behind IPL's success in India(only). With out them who will pick up wickets and hit sixerz in IPL? :--D

Guest Hiten.
Foreign players' date=' especially Australians are the biggest reason behind IPL's success in India(only). With out them who will pick up wickets and hit sixerz in IPL? :--D[/quote'] First, Pakistani's were "heartbeat of IPL 1" and without them IPL 2 will fail. Now, Aussies were "heartbeat of IPL 2" and without them IPL 3 will fail. :bye:
