akshayxyz Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 "Only the duo of Dilshan and Jayasuriya returned quite late." ... "That apart, Dilshan also went to visit his Delhi Daredevils team-mate Manoj Tiwari, on Tuesday."
Little_Master Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Good to see Jayasurya back in the team...more often than ever he enjoys the indian bowling attack...i was shocked to see him out of the team. I completely agree that he is of little use at no 6 or 7...deserves to be in the top 4. India will have to play out of their skin to win this one
Little_Master Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 forget what management thinks or dhoni thinks or viru thinks....lets assume i've accepted the fact you mentioned above.....still i'd like to know what the members of this forum think:winky:
gaurav92 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Change in the Indian batting order recommended ofr 4th ODI Now as Yuvraj Singh is out of the series and Dhoni not playing this 4th ODI, our middle order is certainly going to be tested and exposed. So to strengthen the middle order, i would want to see Sachin to come down at no.4 instead od opening the batting.I know its a tough call but just for one ODI, i would want India to wrap up the series here on rather than depending on the last one dayer for a series win.So my new batting order would be Sehwag Gambhir Virat Sachin Raina Karthik Jadeja Harbhajan Zaheer Ishant Nehra The reason i am sending GOD down the order is : 1) To strengthen our middle order that looks a bit hollow 2) There are too many left handers in the middle like Gambhir, Jadeja and Raina. So it will be difficlut for them to play the offies in Lankan line up, so to maintain a right-left combination right through the game, it will be a good option to send GOD at no.4 for just this game. What is your batting order for this game and do you agree with me on this note ?Poll is on, do vote
gaurav92 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Oh i didnt see this thread before thanx mods for clubbing this one :nice:
PotterManiac Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Well its a good ploy and a brilliant idea, I must say! :two_thumbs_up: His average batting at no.4 is around 39. But what we should think of is whether there is a need to push him down the order. R Jadeja might be inexperienced along with Kohli. But Raina has played 80 matches. If the openers do the job for you and if there is atleast one man like him in the lineup to score runs, well, they will do the job for you, unless they dont stick to the basics (thats what the Lankans did) I know this answer might have holes here and there, but well, I just dont like the idea of Sachin batting like that... :--D
PotterManiac Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 4th ODI : News and discussion I think its going to be a close one too. Injuries on either teams means the game will become more interesting
PotterManiac Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hmm...go Dilshan go! Let them party all night and turn up for the match feeling sleepy! Atleast then we'll be able to break the opening partnership! YAY!
Texy Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 IPL has brought together cricketers from diff nations as one loyal to their franchise. Good to see the friendship between Dilshan and Tiwary Camac st is Kolkata's downtown ....mast party place!
achilles Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 TV channels have been saying that Virat is certain to play this game. And I believe he deserves to get the game more than Rohit does.
ludhianvi Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 TV channels have been saying that Virat is certain to play this game. And I believe he deserves to get the game more than Rohit does. According to Cricinfo, Rohit Sharma is playing in the Ranji trophy Quarterfinals and he just got out on a duck.
DomainK Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Sanath and Dilshan were out drinking in some bar till late night and when a photographer tried to click them in company of some females, Dilshan caught him and made him delete all the pics. Here is one pic he managed to keep. http://www.lankanewspapers.com/news/2009/12/51771_space.html
achilles Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 According to Cricinfo' date=' Rohit Sharma is playing in the Ranji trophy Quarterfinals and he just got out on a duck.[/quote'] There she goes :((:(( Sanath and Dilshan were out drinking in some bar till late night and when a photographer tried to click them in company of some females, Dilshan caught him and made him delete all the pics. Here is one pic he managed to keep. http://www.lankanewspapers.com/news/2009/12/51771_space.html I thought Sanath and Dilshan were decent family men. Look at Sanath in the pic. I'm shocked. It maybe looking different to reality but I really didn't think these guys would do this
Rajiv Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Dilshan fights Photographer in Night Club Forced him to delete pics from the camera, Cops Register Complaint

achilles Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Oh. Ravi bhai aka Shaz has always been a casanova. Sanath's always been a quiet guy. I never knew this side of his
achilles Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Shocked. Can't believe Dilshan did it. Agreed the journo's can be pesky at times, but Dilshan shouldn't have lost his cool. Grabbing someone by the collar is highly humiliating to anyone and a star, given the media attention, should avoid embroiling himself in controversy
Ram Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Scuffles happen among people all the time, not a big deal at all.
hari504504 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Pesky photographers deserve that...probably would've made its way into some toilet paper - newspaper with 'scandalous' headlines
