Hmmmm i dind't really understand your theory about new zelan;... but hmmmm sehwag played in 5 matches in NZ india lost two and won one... if your point was, no need to score against them;... and what if i tell you that virender ssehwag's highest score in wins outide asia is 47, and he averages 23.90 in wins outside asia... Isn't that a big concern???
I didnt say Sehwag dont need to score agnst NZ. Wat i mean is Sehwags poor avg agnst the worst ranked team in the world gets balanced wid the fact dat Sehwag is the only player frm the current era of Batsmen to have the highest avg in AUS agsnt the best team!! Sehwags many innings have came in loosing cause and in Match saving cause!! Like i mentioned..150, 195, 105!! Plus the 180 he scored in West Indies!! India wud have won it but for the rains!! For more dan a day being washed out!! So no..its not a big concern as long as he keeps performing like dis!! He is a great , perhaps not the greatest!! And will remain a great!!

Hmmmm you can say whatever you want but stats are not backing you up... I am not saying that performing in loose matches is not good but th ultimat thing is to help ur team win.... And sehwag's average in 20's... Talking about 180 in west indies, it was a very good innings but again on a belte of a piitch, even kaif scored a hundred at 60 more strike rate, same for dravid...

I don't think Viru is greatest player of this decade . He is consistent only in recent years. I remember he was inconsistent for long period of time and even got dropped once. IMO, it got to be Murali or Ponting.

India havent won many matches abroad, so his tons wont count?? CUT ur BS!! The criteria sud be wheather a player has scored matches outside his home..He fulfills dat!! Criteria sud be wheather he has scored outside subcontinent!! He fulfills dat!! Criteria sud be wheather he has scored agnst the best team in their backyard!! He fulfills dat!! As far as matches won are concerned chck how many matches Lara have won outside West Indies !! and wats his avg!! So according to u Lara is not a great?? Players like Sangakara have been involved in only 3 matches, Lara have been involved in 1 match and Sehwag is involed in 6 matches as far a swinning abroad is concerned!! So their avg is bound to be gud!! Let them play few more matches!!

you ssay he fulfills that, an average of 41 does mean fulfilling???? and this in this decade in wich average have been so high... And please stop being stupid, you said something about ponting averages in india, that i ponting only average problem.... and now you want to compare with lara.... lara hass scored math winning innings even againt austalia... in perth... and i said i don't focus in win or loss mathes because that often depend on the rest of the team, that surely count but no soo much... lara averages 57 in wins outside america, sehwag in th 20's... that is the ridiculou thing, we are talking about sehwag and u stat bringing in legend, best batsman of hiss era, one of the best ever, will make any world XI, maybe even an All time world XI, Brian Charles Lara...

Find out how much Sobers and Viv Richards averaged in NZ. Also find out how much Ponting averages in India. All of them have sub 20 averages in their bogey countries. Are these guys great players ? Players like Viv Richards and Sehwag cannot be judged by what they averaged in x, y & z lands. Because they dont play conventional cricket. They take huge risks trying to bury the bowlers. While doing so, they are going to look surreal when they come off and abysmal when they fail. Just so we keep things in perspective, in the last tour to NZ, Indian batsmen were greeted with substandard pitches. I dont recall more than two 50s scored in that series by Indian batsmen. And Veeru was at his worst form in his career, when he toured SA. For a player who depends so much on hand eye coordination, "touch" is everything. You dont have to look beyond the Chennai test vs Eng to assess his greatness. England set India 380+ to win with 5 sessions to go. There were only 2 results possible at the time - Eng win and a draw. I mean, India had no business even thinking about winning. Starting from there to end the fourth day in a position from which just batting out the 5th day ensured a win is just unreal. I dont think any of Ponting, KP, Tendulkar, Lara, Inzy, Hayden or Sanga would have walked in that situation thinking that they could win. This guy walked in with the same attitude even in the Bangalore test vs Pak in 2005. Didnt work out back then. Sehwag is a lunatic, an absolutely mad man. No one can comprehend how his mind works. This is what Pringle had in mind while naming Sehwag as the greatest of the decade.

Stats aren't everything to judge a player based off from. The supporting cast around the player and the fear that he puts into the opposition also matters too. That being said, Sehwag really is the greatest player of the decade, better than Sachin imo (Tests).

I can understand jealousy against indian batting strength but Pakis are stooping to new lows when they are belittling the achievements of Indian batsmen with comments like Flat tracks as if they have green tops!If their batsmen cant even score on flat tracks, it is not the mistake of the successful indian batsmen. if indians do well on flat tracks it is discounted. if Visiting team batsmen fail on same flat tracks, it is their error in judgment when batting and nothing else. Ponting is considered as an All time Great along with Lara. but fact is both of them have averages of less than 35 in India, in the so called Flat tracks! What is Zaheer Abbas's performance in Indian flat tracks? If we discount a batsman's effort by saying his team did not win as many matches despite his presence, i think BC Lara has featured in most number of lost test matches( 63 losses out of 131 tests, despite 14 hundreds)...that is not Lara's mistake. Cricket is a team game.it is not a single batsman game like what we used to play in the back yard. Asif says today that MCG track was like Faisalabad. but if Umer Akmal /Mo Yo scores a hundred, it would suddenly become a hundred on a Lively pitch in Pakis book!!!
