Dhondy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 whatever you might feel' date=' this guy bowls fast and is very fierce for a 17 ish year old. We do not have any bowler who bowls this fast. 150+ wow[/quote'] Hullo, I hope you enjoyed your trip to Mars while Ishant was regularly clocking in the high 140s on our last trip to Oz? Aamer's figures so far- 144 for 2 @ 72 per wicket. I have said in another thread that I really like him, but let's not start hyperventilating, dear Danda. Our bowlers conjured wickets out of nothing on dead strips recently against world class batsmen. I suggest you go back and watch them to appreciate the finer points of fast bowling.
vvvslaxman Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Ishant's top speed in OZ was 152k. He was unplayable for most of them. Ask Hayden, Punter. It is how you do after batsmen get a look of you. Even Sami picked a 10fer i think at the start. He was bowling at 95 mph regularly.
Dhondy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 BTW, it was quite amusing to see Aamer blow kisses at Watson. What was that all about? Recently, he had a go at Umer Gul, by far his senior, after outbowling the latter, almost leading to fisticuffs. This kid needs to calm down.

It's a cultural thing for Pakistanis. As far as blowing kisses are concerned, I have seen him do that in the past also. I think it was Gul he was blowing kisses to.
Dhondy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 He scores over Ishant with his short ball though. Despite trailing Ishant in height, he has a mean short one, although he tends to overdo it. That's one area of his bowling Ishant needs to work on. His bouncer is rubbish.
Dhondy Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Saimuddin clutching at straws on Cricinfo. As usual. Counting cookies in the pantry as the ship sinks. Reminds me so much of us in the 90s.
satishg Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Wow Aamer literally owned zubi :D anyway one innings is never a parameter to judge a young talent like Aamer!
