I went there directly without any reservation and found a good hotel. Ellora is nearby 20km from aurangabad, you can hire a taxi or lot of buses are also available. There are some good hotels in Ellora also. You need half day to visit all the caves in Ellora. Ajantha is around 90km I guess from aurangabad. You can hire a auto-rikshaw to visit aurangabd caves which is just 3 kms. Also there are some package trip from aurangabad, you can checkout in the hotel itself. Have heard a lot more about Khajuraho as more tourists supposedly visit there though not advisable to go to Khajuraho with family I suppose. atul Posted December 31, 2009 Share Posted December 31, 2009 Sandeep , Following are site to visit when you are in Aurangabad , A’bad is best place to stay while visiting Verul(Ellora) and Ajantah caves. If you can afford then there are there five stars and couple of 3 stars hotels, otherwise normal hotels you can find near by Bus stand / Railway station. In this case choose near by Bus stand it is more convenient to catch taxi/bus/riksha to different places 1) Verul(Ellora) caves – 20 Km 2) Devgiri fort on the road to Ellora cave 3) Grishneshwar Temple ( 1 Jotirlinga out of 12) near by Ellora cave 4) Bibi ka Makabar , in the city , 2 km from Bus stand 5) Aurangzeb tomb , near by Ellora 6) Jayakwadi Dam / Janeshwar Gardan like Vrindavan garden in Mysore 7) Ajantha cave – 90KM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
