Hellooooo MS- I'll only pick my buddies from CSK & South Zone on advice of Daddy Kris- Dhoni.... Are you listening/reading? Dhoni is taking bias to another level here. Picking an inexperienced Ojha over in-form Mishra was ridiculous.

that was hardly bias.Ojha did well in SL series.suddenly Viru became captin n dropped him for Mishra.if anything, that was bias.Dhoni just corrected things by giving Ojha his riightful opportunity

Both are biased to their respective states. Only that Dhoni is a bit more :winky:
Yeah, and when some people are claiming that he is biased towards Badrinath, you're claiming that he is Southie-biased. Brilliant. Ojha plays for Hyderabad, and is from Orissa, by the way. Great conclusions. Did you read a book called "How to be a bigot" recently?

Again with the South Zone bias. :haha::finger: Do you not realize that there are 6 DELHI players currently in the team? Only a handful of south indians are even in contention! We have fielded an all north india side MANY times over the last year. STFU please

Dhoni is biased alright. But I dont think we are picking the right example. That of dropping Mishra and picking Ojha. I do feel that may have been a cricketing decision. On the other hand if you want examples of bias, you can take just about every match where the captain has fielded Yuvraj. That man should not be in the team. Not just for batting but for absolutely destroying his fielding abilities and generally looking like a fool on the field. This was the best fielder in the subcontinent we are talking about - just a season or so back. This cannot and should not be tolerated. But Dhoni does. What is more, he never talks about Yuvraj's fielding skills - or the lack of it. But he happily criticizes other team members in public. And one has to only note the number of times Dhoni has shielded Yuvraj against the spinners or even the newer ball to get an idea of what is going on.

I've constantly stated that Badri and Dinesh should be in the team. But the Ojha selection ahead of Mishy in the Final test was a shocker. You've gotta be kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

Dude, do you even know what your talking? Sree, Laxman, Ojha, RD, Karthik (at times) and M.Vijay & Badri of-late have been in the ambit of selection. I didn't know South Zone ONLY includes Tamil Nadu :finger: And correct yourself - There might be 6 Delhi players in the squad, not the Playing XI ! And this is the Indian national team for chrissake. Not some gully team where you pick players because they play for your fav franchise. Edit- Scroll down for some interesting stats :--D

Update (for cricketman): In the past 4 series, this is how the squad has looked- 1. On the tour of Bangladesh, the squad had 4 players from Delhi & 6 players from the South. Are you bad at math? laugh.gif - http://www.cricinfo.com/india/content/squad/442545.html 2. In the Test series vs Sri Lanka in Nov-Dec 2009,the squad had 4 players from Delhi & 6 players from the South. This is the series where the South bias started - http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/content/squad/433869.html 3. While playing New Zealand in 08-09, the squad had 4 Delhi players while it had 5 players from South - http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/content/squad/390609.html 4. When England toured India in 08-09, the squad again had 4 Delhi players while it had 5 players from South - http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/content/squad/380777.html And lets not talk about the series before this - the Australia tour of India, coz Anil Kumble was around, adding to the South Zone nos. :winky: So whose the bias been in favour of? I won't be surprised if you don't respond to this or respond in an outlandish manner :icflove: Now don't give me my point back saying that Delhi isn't the only place in the North Zone. You spoke about Delhi being favoured. So I showed you the figures to show it isn't so :two_thumbs_up:.

Do you think Ojha is that useless that bias is the only way he'll get in? The Chief Selector SHOULD have chosen Vijay over Yuvraj for the past couple of tests then. That didn't happen. He SHOULD've chosen Abhinav Mukund' date=' R Ashwin, and a bunch of other south zone players. He didn't. Mishra's been part of the squad for a while now. Unless you've got proof that Dhoni is biased (apart from Yuvraj, I dont see any obvious ones here), keep your conspiracy theories to yourself.[/quote'] Ojha is young. He still has a lot to learn. Mishy has been in the domestic arena for quite a while and is a better pick than Ojha. And I didn't see any logic in picking Ojha in place of Mishy, who scored a 50 and took 10 odd wickets. As for Vijay being picked for Yuvraj, who is more experienced among the two? Yuvi ! Agreed he's been out of form but that doesn't mean you just throw him out of the team. I think the proof thing goes both ways. I quoted figures of the past 4 series which have seen only 4 delhi players in the squad but 6 South Zone players in it. Don't try to go off-topic and compare this to Yuvraj. Whether you admit it or not, even you know that Kris is biased to the South players and so is Dhoni to an extent. I openly admit that my Zone's selectors were biased to players from Mumbai when in power. And I've got no issues in admitting that they were tools. But just because people from Bombay and Delhi do it, doesn't mean Kris is justified in "paying back in the same coin". What is the difference between those fools and you if you do the same thing they did? For God's sake, this the NATIONAL TEAM ! And yes, whether you can openly admit that Kris & Dhoni are biased to South players or not is completely your prerogative. Like I said, the proof thing goes both ways. So Unless you have proof to prove that Dhoni isn't biased towards the South Zone players, keep your theory to yourself.

Ok I have had enough of your BS. :giggle: You are comparing a SINGLE FRACKING CITY OR STATE OR WHATEVER with an entire ZONE. Are you ****ING INSANE? :--D

Well, if you read the last line of this post, you would've noted this- Now don't give me my point back saying that Delhi isn't the only place in the North Zone. You spoke about Delhi being favoured. So I showed you the figures to show it isn't so. :two_thumbs_up: So they were stats to rebut him :--D
And while you are responding with more BS also explain how many SZ players are in the ODI team. B->
Isn't this thread about the Test team?

Don't care what you blabbered above to the specific poster. WHY ARE YOU QUOTING THE SAME CRAP AGAIN AND AGAIN comparing a single city to a zone? No, this is a thread about DEARTH of SPINNERS in India, not about selection BIAS about BATSMEN and FAST BOWLERS from WHEREVER, remember? SZ has traditionally been shafted in selection matters. The rope is about as small as it gets for players from SZ. You have to shine like a VVS or a RD or a Kumble to stick around. If you are even border line average you will get dumped before even you realized what hit you. It is laughable for you to talk about bias in favor of SZ. And Dhoni shafts TN players regularly in his CSK team. In short you are just spewing BS. :finger:

Both of us are going to be as stubborn about our points as we are accusing each other of being. So there is really no point debating coz I think I am right and you think you are right. Aite, aite :--D

Anybody who denies the obvious Northie bias when it comes to Indian team selection is either biased or blind. At this rate, they wont might pick Southie players for even the South Zone team for the Duleep trophy. :((
