Gunner_Mania Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 People said the same thing about Sehwag too. Thats why it will be a test of his technique. And you cant say Yusuf has no technique until you test him. I knew this argument would be made. I was going to add. to my earlier post Viru is an exception not the rule, but just let it go.

diegovegaz Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 would be good for yusuf, if he opens maybe sachin can bring out the best in him
virufan Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 I think veeru shud rest.. we need to test our backup players.. I hope dhoni tries some new players like Tyagi, Nayar, Ashwin ... and also Pandey shud be tried.. my X1 for 2nd ODI 1.Sachin 2.Pandey 3.Karthik 4.Dhoni 5.Kohli 6.Raina 7.Nayar 8.Jadeja 9.Praveen 10.Nehra 11.Tyagi If Viru is fit, then he should play. Resting Viru in the 2nd ODI would be asking for trouble. Yes, but if we win the 2nd ODI, we can rest him in the 3rd ODI and try our reserve bats. In fact even Sachin can be rested in that case.
flamy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 karthik is going to open! and again he wouldnt score of the first three balls and hit a boundary! and take all the strike! he just cant rotate strike! :cantstop:
virufan Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 :cantstop: As long as he scores a boundary, it is ok na?
flamy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 As long as he scores a boundary' date=' it is ok na?[/quote'] i don't rate kartik much but he seems to be in good form now. 3 dot balls and a boundary is waste.
Gunner_Mania Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 i don't rate kartik much but he seems to be in good form now. 3 dot balls and a boundary is waste. how? that is a SR of 100.
flamy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 how? that is a SR of 100. SR of 100 by taking singles is better than SR of 100 with dot balls and boundary balls. In the end, lesser dot balls, the better.
