don_corleone840
Its so irritating that such a big tournament is not getting any coverage from news channels. They are not even mentioning about ipl. This shows that Indian media dont give damn to public intrest.I think this will be much bigger loss to news channel than ipl.. Gunner_Mania
News agencies all set to abandon IPL The IPL organisers continue to ignore the pleas of the News Media Coalition (NMC), the international body that monitors the specific threat to editorial operations from excessive controls imposed by sporting events, as international news agencies, which provided coverage of the second season in South Africa, are being forced to abandon plans to attend the third edition. Due to the new IPL rules, newspapers and broadcasters who rely upon news agencies for reports and photographs will not be able to provide similar coverage for the tournament beginning March 12. someone
because modi got greedy. The hatred of Modi from you is just too much. Any logical reason to justify that
someone
Modi imposed ridiculous restrictions and costs making it inviable for the news channels. He is very greedy and single minded - when something like this happened in Australia they came to terms...with Modi it has gone on for all three editions of the IPL. or what about NBA imposed ridiculous restrictions and costs making it inviable for IPL. They are very greedy and single minded. Who told you whom is greedy party in this conflict. Moreover, from what I understand it is the NBA who are acting greedy because they want to get all the footage possible and are even fighting to get the post match footage which imo is not the biggest thing in cricket. abhinav
The issue has been resolved, the news broadcasters will now be covering the IPL. Here is the latest from Modi's twitter page: "Nba issue resolved. Both us moved forward to ensure all fans don't miss the ipl. My sincere thanks to the NBA members for making it happen"
someone
what is more important - Revenue' date=' or as many people as possible seeing as much as possible. The IPL is already fantastically rich, this really is not going to damage them overly much: put it this way - the live rights are the most valuable and they have rightly been sold at as high a price as possible. A few clips on the news here or there is not that major, certainly not worthy of as much restriction.[/quote'] So your issue about Business vs Charity. So then you should not talk about Modi. Let me remind you IPL is a domestic Indian tournament and there are many rich people involved in it. So there will be sponsors. And have you watched EPL, their news channels never show the post match videos always some highlights. So why should our indian media deserve more...
