Like I said. There is no shortage of facile excuses for the lousiest of Sachin's failures. He had the clout to get what he wanted - so don't give me factually non sensical things like " squads he was given to lead" . He had 2 stints at captaincy and he could have got players that he asked for. At one point he did have a Marathi mandal in the playing XI during his captaincy. Fact is he can't think and do beyond his own game. Harsh but truth. It reflect's on what motivates him and how he responds to pressure situations in matches. It takes alot of b@lls to absorb captaincy and lead a side and also be the leading batsman of the side. This is the reason why Aussies have this kind of respect for Allan Border, who lead a rag a tag side through their worst time , was its leading batsman. Ponting lead legends and now is part of the rebuilding. It takes alot out of one's individuals game. Some can focus only on their game. Sachin falls in that category.
Patriot - I do not know what you are imagining but Tendulkar is not the sort to use his clout to accomplish his ends in the team as far as cricket is concerned. Perhaps no captain of a leading international team may have had to make do with personnel such as Noel David and Abhay Kuruvilla. Need I say more? Your argument that it takes a lot out of the individual's game is also false when it comes to Tendulkar. He was the team's leading light even while leading it. However there is an underlying difference between the captaincy style of say Ganguly when compared to Tendulkar. I hope to write on that subject sometime soon.

The time machine argument is absurd to say the least. If a 20 year old Einstein or Newton was put into a time machine and made to attend a graduate level class in Physics, he would have no clue of what's going on in the class. By the assertions made by Tendulkar fan boys, Einstein and Newton would then be crap Physicists and Mathematicians.
So as a Bradman bootlicker you agree that put Bradman in time machine and play him today he would not be that good and would not be best in the world?

I keep asking this question but still Bradman fans do not answer! Bradman fans please state when you have seen Bradman bat? Give specifics on any live games you have seen or any TV footage you have seen of him?
still no answers?

What wisden book again was it you read about Lohmann? You still maintaing that put Bradman in a time machine that he would still be best in the world today as you said earlier? You also said put 1890s Lohmann in time machine he also would still be best bowler in the world, stand by that? Also from the guy who has id of vvslaxman, i hope you can have the intellect to see how hypocritical your above post is and how silly it was in light of your id!

He would be better than Tendulkar . But i didn't say King Laxman. I critcize Laxman more than you can ever imagine :cantstop: Can you do that King Tendulkar? If you are really neutral and unbiased can you do that? Can you criticize Tendulkar? Biased opnions are not actually worth the salt. Unfortunately that is what Tendulkar is getting here lol.

So time machine 1930s Bradman would be better then Tendulkar in match tommorow!! Now this thread has reached a totally absurd level by the Bradman bootlickers. You really don't realise how silly you sound and frankly you show yourself to have some pathological hatred of Sachin or how delusional you are

Loads of discussion on this thread, will we ever be able to convince each other, the answer is No, so why discuss about something which we will never come to a common conclusion, just close the talk and come to the conclusion that Both were and are Legends

Of course I can't prove it to your satisfaction! But anyone with even 0.000001% intellect knows the realities of it. Your post above is like a 5 year olds argument. Its like me saying Lohmann bowls 700 mph and asking you to prove categorically otherwise. Or me saying - I just met an alien and we went to Mars and back! Go on prove otherwise! You can't can you!

He might have struggled in his first few innings, but would quickly adapt to dominate the world scene unseen in the modern times, just like Newton and Einstein would. Imagine the havoc he would cause on the likes of Sami and Agarkar inhabiting the world bowling space. He would probably end up averaging 200. :giggle:

In hindsight i think Hammond would be better than Tendulkar :cantstop:

Len Hutton would be better than Sachin !! Len hutton averages 50 against Australia when the attack has all three bowlers Lindwall, Miller and Davison. He is easily better than Sachin :giggle: His career average is 56.

Dear Tendulkar boot licker, if Tendulkar were to play in the 30's could you say with confidence that he would have done as well as Bradman ? Given all the cons which people have already covered such as lack of protective gear, playing on in wet conditions, the fact they were on and off playing... The way you belittle Bradman's achievements because he was from the 30's as though you are some kind of psychic who can tell that Bradman wasn't any good is a bit disrespectful. He achieved a lot in the game, more then most and that should be respected rather then comments such as- "he was a terrible batsman" or something along the lines of that. It is all subjective as to how these two players can be compared- so why are you so determined on making Bradman out to be any less of a player in order to make Tendulkar look better ? I don't see the others doing that to Tendulkar.

I just find it sad

Like I said previous. Bradman is a great historical figure of cricket, a pioneer of cricket. But reasons outlined many times before. No way a 30s player can be classed as greatest ever. Sorry place in history they have but no more then that!
